A Rosy Tea

                                                     Hello everyone,
I hope you all enjoyed a lovely weekend- a long one here in Canada as we celebrated Canada Day. We enjoyed a lovely casual brunch with our family yesterday. Today, I had some lovely visitors for a garden tour some local friends and some special visitors from 'away'(New Jersey) who follow my blog.
Today, I thought the roses behind our Gardener's Cottage would make a nice backdrop for a little tea party.
The cabbage and roses tablecloth and pillows go nicely with the hardy pink and red roses.
William Baffin is a hardy climber that needs so special care to get it through the winters here so I have a few of them in the garden.
A cheese biscuit with a cup of tea will hit the spot!
A casual bouquet of roses and and a big fluffy peony.
A red and white transferware tea cup.
                                                              Old British Castles teapot.

                                                Red Grootendorst rose.
I hope you enjoyed a casual tea among the roses today.
The rest of the week is looking nice and summery and I don't have any tours for a couple of weeks so I will be enjoying some lazy hazy days!

Today, I am joining Rose Chintz Cottage for Tea Time Tuesday,
and Bernideen's Tea Time Blog for Tea in the Garden

what a gorgeous setting, the roses are beautiful, and the red transferware is too. Charming table cloth does look so great with the back ground. I always enjoy your pictures-you have an amazing place. God bless...

Oh, I want to come to tea. The tablecloth fabric is one of my favorites. The slipcovers on my sofa were of that fabric until it just had too many washings.

Lovely photos of an idyllic setting.

What a wonderful rose-filled new spot for an outdoor tea!

I should love to join you there, Carolyn!

Gorgeous red/white transferware hits the spot - as well as that delish looking biscuit with your tea time!

Wow, Carolyn, what a wonderful place to have some friends for a visit. You wrote, that you had some people there from New Jersey. I lived in New Jersey many years ago at my older sisters house. She lived in the States for 20 years, together with her husband and son.I had the opportunity to visit school there for one year. That was a great time.
Have a nice summertime.
Love Tina

Breathless. The Red Grootendorst rose goes very well with the shabby chic style of the shutters and the tablecloth. A very charming garden tea party.

So pretty Carolyn! And I bet the aroma is sweet too! I posted about roses today as well - my one rosebush has some kind of bug on it. I figure you will know what to do :)

Oh, Carolyn, be still my heart! What a beautiful setting! I can just picture it all behind your cottage because I've seen it. I LOVE the red transferware as you know! A cheese biscuit and a cuppa tea would surely hit the spot while sitting and breathing in the scent of roses. Just lovely! Thank you for sharing and coming to tea and have a beautiful day.

Blessings,
Sandi
