Hello everyone,
It is windy and overcast but still mild here today. I was playing with my 50mm lens on my camera yesterday and these are a few of the photos I shot.
I was by the baywindow and used a mirror to to shed a little more light on the subject
I covered my lens with a shear ribbon held on by an elastic to get this soft look- but I am thinking maybe I should have cut a hole in it to give a sharper look to the centre. What do you think-any tips for me?
I did cut a hole in the centre for this one.
and I used a short depth of field- 1.8 for most of these pics to give the blurred look behind the first tea cup.
I love this teacup that I got in Florida last year.
Dainty teacups.
Well, that was me playing with my camera again.
I am joining My Romantic Home for Show and Tell Friday,

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

A teacup from Florida! Wow that is fun to know that you have been to my state. Now if I can only make it to your location, it looks so beautiful it makes me want to visit.

Lovely photographs Carolyn! You have a beautiful collection of rose teacups.
ReplyDeleteAfter three weeks of grey skies we finally had some sunshine today :-). Snow is expected for the weekend. I hope the plants in the garden will survive. Because of the mild temperatures some are above ground already.
Wishing you a Happy Weekend!

The rose tea set reminds me of my dolls tea service when I was small. So pretty. The pics are lovely. My dad was a semi-professional photographer in the 50's and 60's and he told me he used to put vaseline on the lens if he wanted soft focus. He never told me how he cleaned it off again. Perhaps he had a separate lens for the purpose. xx
ReplyDeletePretty images, Carolyn. Love the first teacup! Hope you are enjoying your weekend.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
