Hello everyone,
Now, I am not really off my rocker as the expression goes(at least ,I don't think I am) but I did get a new rocking chair at a local thrift shop for $10. and I knew I could find a spot for it somewhere. For,today it looks rather charming sitting out on our veranda so I took a few quick shots of it before the sun went down.
I quickly gathered up some props for my little photo shoot.
Our Christmas tree in the background looks good for the winter out here on the porch.
My little dutch windmill birdhouse is so cute and a nice little reminder of my Dutch roots. My Mom came from Holland as a war bride many long years ago.
Hope you enjoyed my little photo shoot and if you think I could be' off my rocker' just ignore the comment section today.Ha!Ha!
I am joining French Country Cottage for Feathered Nest Friday,

What a great buy you got the rocking chair for! It looks sweet with the red plaid blanket and greenery on your porch. I think it was mild enough to sit out there for a bit today wasn't it? Providing you were out of the wind.
ReplyDeleteHello Carolyn, I just found your blog and I absolutely love it...I especially like your Dutch windmill, as I am Dutch myself.I live in Amsterdam...
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for your next post..

Wow what a great deal on the rocker. It is beautiful. Love the look sitting on your veranda. I don't think I could leave it outside though. It is so cute. Thanks for sharing. Love your blog. Karie

Hi Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteMy parents gave me a rocker just like that for my 19th birthday. I know! A strange gift for a 19-year old but that's what I asked for. Not sure what I was thinking! Lol How cool was I?! haha
After my dad passed away, I gifted the rocker to my niece when she was expecting her first daughter as a remembrance of my dad. I love looking at your new treasure! It brings back memories of my father.
You don't have much snow by the looks of it. We, on the other hand, are expecting up to 90 cm and 110 km/hr winds in the next 24 hours! Help!!! If you don't hear from me again soon, please come dig us out!!! Lol
Hugs,

ReplyDeleteYou have such flair and such a knack.
Loved your photo shoot Carolyn. They all look so inviting.
ReplyDeleteYou find the best bargains, I know I would never find a special rocker for that price in my part of the world.
ReplyDeleteSorry, I couldn't find the meaning of the expression "off my rocker"; I'd be grateful if anyone would explain me.
ReplyDeleteDear Carolyn, your pics, your purchases, your choices, your props are always perfect. That's why your blog is my favourite. It makes me dream!

Dear Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteYou would have been off your rocker not to buy that sweet old thing for $10. It is wonderful and I love the way you paired it with reds.
Little ole rocker went to the perfect home.
Ruthie
I love these beautiful pictures. The pine, plaid, red, and chair spell country cozy!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat photo shoot, so beautifully set out. I would love to sit in your rocker snuggled up in the plaid rug drinking hot chocolate, or maybe a cup of tea in one of your beautiful china cups, 'without milk please'
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful Winter vignette. I so love the reds in winter.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Debbie
