Hello everyone!
I hope you are enjoying your weekend. As I was looking back at some of my favorite photos that I took in the garden in the last couple of years, I thought I would share a few with you.
I love this misty morn shot of our garden arbor that I shot early one summer morning.
The garden at the southern side of our home.
Another misty morn shot gives a magical look to the garden.
Love this Ville de Lyon clematis growing up the old birdhouse.
Our Chelsea Garden
Again the south side of the house facing the woods.
Martha's Garden is enclosed behind our barn.
Our Allee Garden
The view toward the pond.
A garden bench under the roses to sit and take it all in!
All this beauty is nestled under a blanket of snow but before we know it there will be signs of it coming to life once more. I am content to enjoy the winter beauty of the garden for awhile yet but soon I will be yearning to get out there and watch for those early signs of life before spending my days out working/playing in the garden once more.
Take care,
Carolyn

Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteI love your garden in every season. I would so love to go on one of your garden tours.
Just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty and Lush. It was 74 degrees here today and I cut back my roses and perennials. Never snow here sadly. Olive
ReplyDeleteIt is always so beauiful, even he picture you share with us during the winter months when all is snow covered.
ReplyDeleteCarolyn, the garden photos are breathtaking; I particularly like the misty ones. They have a certain softness and mystery to them.
ReplyDeleteCarolyn! Your garden is immaculate! I am in awe! I LOVE it! I could look at these photos forever! These are going on my boards! :)

So wonderful Carolyn! I too love looking at photos from my gardens during the winter... and it's so much fun to share them with others. Yours are so beautiful and while our styles aren't quite the same, I certainly do appreciate what you have done... actually I love your style with all the wonderful perennial areas but I'm a bit too lazy to stake and deadhead as I should so I don't do as many perennials as you. Of course, that's subject to change and has evolved and de-evolved many times over the years. You also have so many amazing places to sit and enjoy the view... something I keep promising myself to do but don't quite get around to. I hope you are able to take the time to relax and soak it all in... that's another reason I garden in the way I do... I don't want to be a slave to it. Thanks for sharing all this beauty! Larry
ReplyDeleteCarolyn, you have such a beautiful garden. Many lovely memories to look back on and forward to..Happy Saturday..Judy
ReplyDeleteHello Carolyn....Your lovely garden shots made me yearn for spring. It won't be long? I hope not. I love looking at your garden. Susan

ReplyDeleteOh Carolyn.....what a beautiful respite you offered to us today! I could almost forget about the cold, drizzly winter rain pattering outside my window. My husband was even ooohing and ahhhing over your gardens! Thank you for a sweet little vacation! :)

Your garden is such a beauty in summer but also in winter. When I ever should visit Canada I should like to see your garden in summer. Is your garden open for visitors on special days in summer?
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely garden! I really enjoyed the fantastic pictures!

Carolyn your garden and photos are simply amazing! Wishing you a wonderful New Year! Christie
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful, Carolyn! I'll bet you can't wait to see all your flowers blooming again. When we had a garden at our old house, I did enjoy the break that Winter brought with it. Have you ever made up note cards or calendars from the beautiful pictures of your gardens?
ReplyDeleteHi Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteThe photo with the clematis and the birdhouse has always been a favourite, as well as any of your garden in the mist. And, that's the first time I've seen the 'view of the pond'...They are ALL gorgeous!!!
Thanks for the b-day wishes, my friend. :-)))
Our snow is fast disappearing! We are all amazed after having so much (I think nearly 60 cm in 24 hours) and it has been above zero (+4 and +5) since yesterday and raining. I didn't even get a chance to take photos! I know there'll be a next time! Lol
Happy Sunday to you and Andrew.
Hugs,
