Hello everyone,
I hope you enjoyed your weekend and are blessed with good health and joy!
There is so much to be thankful for.
Did you notice the new pillow-I made it from a sweater from the thrift shop.
The beauty of winter!
Does anyone have a horse so we can go dashing through the snow???
Enjoy a hot cup of tea while taking in the fresh air. Can you hear the chickadees. They are singing in the woods just behind us.
My before pic of the sweater.
I like how it has buttons on one side but plain on the other.
I hope you are feeling BLESSED now because I lumbered out through the snow with my paraphernalia just for you!!! Ha! Ha!
I am joining Between Naps on the Porch for Metamorphsis Monday.
Thank you for visiting me,
Carolyn
Well, I hope you got to enjoy a drink of something hot after that, Carolyn! : ) Love this sleigh and how you decorated it up for your pictures. The pillow turned out great! I got some thrift sweaters the other day that I was just using the arms. I've kept the body part on a couple to do a couple of pillows, so I think I got my monies worth!
ReplyDeleteAdorei a nova almofada, combina muito com o inverno. Não consigo imaginar um inverno assim. Acho que não conseguiria sair de casa. Só mesmo com uma almofada quentinha e uma xícara de chá quente. Adorei a criatividade.
ReplyDeleteFique em paz e uma boa semana!

ReplyDeleteCarolyn, thank you for getting out in the snow with your props and taking such beautiful photos. Love the new pillow. I am fighting a bad cold this past week and it still lingers. I hope you are keeping well. There is so much flu out there! Have a beautiful week.
ReplyDeletethank you. It was definately worth all of your work ~ absolutely lovely.
ReplyDeleteLove your pillow, Carolyn! I should try making one of those.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been out of the house since we flew in last Sunday night. Still full of the cold and hard to get rid of it.
Your sleigh is really nice and I love the red pot. Have a wonderful new week.
Blessings,
Sandi
I adore your snow photos, and the pillow is great! I have been looking for an old sweater that I can make into a pillow, they're perfect for the winter time.
ReplyDeleteSorry no horse here.
Have a good evening. Hugs, cindy
Thank you for this beautiful blog. I have to say it is my favorite and the first one I read when I sit down at night. How would I go about getting access to your other Christmas blog? I read the entries while you had it available but I wanted to go back and look again. It says I don't have permission. I was unable to e-mail you directly because I don't have something set up right. (I'm not that great on the computer.) I would appreciate it if you would let me know. Thank you for all you do.
ReplyDeleteWe are certainly blessed - could definately be a cover to a magazine, those shots.
ReplyDeleteI dream of the day of going on a one horse open sleigh - I have done NYC carriage rides, but the sleigh in the snow is a dream of mine.
And with a hot cuppa and a nice sweater pillow, would it get any better?
We have had 2 days of rains and it was 60 degrees today....our gorgeous beautiful awesome snow is all gone for now. Boo hoo.
Well that did bless me! Your pics are always so beautiful and well thought out. Love the sweater pillow! How do you put your name on all of your pictures? Do you use a program and do them all at once or one at time? Thanks for answering.
ReplyDeleteCarolyn, definitely feel blessed to get to visit your beautiful site. The snowy images are charming for this girl down in Texas. Love the sweet sweater pillows. I stopped by a thrift store Friday to see if there were some sweaters that might make pretty winter pillows. None caught my eye. Still looking......Sarah
ReplyDeleteThank you Carolyn...I usually just enjoy without posting but wanted to thank you. Your posts and picture vignettes just feed the soul!
ReplyDeleteHi, Carolyn! You absolutely made me VERY glad I stopped by to see this lovely vingette, and yes, I DO feel BLESSED! Thank you for trekking out there with your beautiful gear to make this lovely for us. Having a sleigh like yours (and the place to "park" it) is one of my dreams--while I also think of a small yard for ease of care--even I don't understand all that! :) But you had me at the sleigh :). Lovely. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteCarolyn, what a beautiful post, both in photos and sentiment! I wish we had some snow here, because I love winter...when it's cold and snowy! And your sweater/pillow is just lovely! You have many talents!
ReplyDeleteHello Carolyn, I just love your sweater pillow, what a great idea..and thanks for the wintry pictures..

I DO feel blessed to have stopped by and looked at your beautiful snow. I would love some tea and a sleigh ride! I bought two sweaters a few weeks ago and was going to try to do the pillows but then got side tracked. It will be Spring before I get back to them!
ReplyDeleteSimply stunning!!
ReplyDeleteThe sled is gorgoeous and i love the sweater pillow idea!!
Thanks for sharing such a beautiful Winter Vignette!
Hugs,
Debbie
Thank you for your lovely post & taking the time to go out in the snow to take such lovely pictures for us to share. Recently I've not been feeling well, but your pictures & words have made me realize I am blessed with what I have around me. So today I'm going to do some of the things I've been putting off & make myself see the beauty in my everyday life.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great Idea, Carolyn!
ReplyDeleteGreetings from Germany,
Dana
(sorry for my english)
Hi Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteyour new pillow is great.
It looks like a sweater ;-).
I come over and bring my horse with me and then we wipe the floor with
Santa Claus ;-)
Enjoy your day....<3
Bianca
Love the pillow! I once made one myself out of my hubbies shirts. Just like you did: with the buttons in the middle. Easy to wash and clean! ;o)
ReplyDeleteTutto bellissimo! Il cuscino è stupendo! Adoro la slitta!
ReplyDeleteOh Carolyn...what a beautiful visit I enjoyed today!! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteHi Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteI do feel blessed, enjoying your pretty blog! The sweater/pillow is such a great idea. I love the buttons. Makes the sewing so much easier too. I will save it in my inspirational map.
Have a nice day,
Sanna
I like your sleigh in the snow, so beautiful such an old one. The idea of making a warm winter pillow of a sweater is a great idea. Thank you for taking out all your things in the cold we enjoy it and feel blessed.

Just loved you pics. I adore pics that one can escape into even just for a moment in time. So beautiful and peaceful. Love you pillow. Blessings to you Karen from Cape Cod
ReplyDeleteHi Carol,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your sweet comment. I am sorry about my Christmas blog but many of the photos were accidently deleted and it was too much work to restore them all you I shut it down.
Thank you everyone for all your kind words.
Carolyn
Hello...just found your blog tonight, and look forward to future visits. Love all the photos, but most in love with that coffee mug!, and of course the red coffee pot as well. Can you share if those are able to be bought anywhere? And, love the pillow from the sweater...great job! Thank you for sharing! I enjoyed it all.
ReplyDeleteI do feel blessed by your cozy winter pictures, Carolyn! I was just thinking how very pretty this scene is and how I would never probably get around to doing anything like this - too lazy! =P Thank you for trudging through the snow so that I could enjoy this happy wintry vignette with my feet reached out to rest on the heater. =]

and, Carolyn, while I see a trend going towards spring.... I'm glad that there is someone else enjoying the freshness of winter. It's just cheating the beauty of white January and cozy February to move on too quickly! =]
Oh, I love this setting!!! And a wonderful idea of the sweater pillow. I'm going to try that. I have horses but they aren't trained to drive so it would certainly be an exciting ride!!!!!!! LOL
