Blue & White Transferware Tablescape

                                                           Hello everyone,
It is another beautiful sunny day here and it was a toss up for me whether to do lunch or enjoy a book on the veranda. However, lunch it is and the setting is the Gardener's Cottage today.
One of the nice things about these sunny warm days is I can hang on to summer a little longer if I so desire.

This beautiful pitcher came from our annual 70 mile yardsale a couple of years ago and it is coming up again not this weekend but next. It has become an annual tradition for us and I always look forward to finding little treasures.

There is something about blue and white that always looks so fresh. Once again these dishes have been collected over time and here and there.

I love this plate rack as a nice way to display some of my favorite china and the good part is how easy it is to change it every now and then.

Hope you enjoyed lunch in the 'cottage'.

Tomorrow I have more pretty blue and whites for you.

I am joining Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps on the Porch. and My Romantic Home for Show and Tell.

Thank you for visiting if I rush I might still squeeze in a few minutes on the porch with a book before I do a photoshoot tonight with a couple of little ones.

Take care,
Carolyn

Beautiful dishes, Carolyn! I am going to be attending a big antique mart here this weekend and transferware will be on my list of things to look for. I am partial to the brown and white, but I love the look of all the colors of transferware.

Blue and white will always be a favorite. I used to look forward to the June issue of Victoria. I don't know if they still do a blue and white issue, I don't subscribe or follow as closely now.
The flowers are simply perfect! They neither compete nor contrast. They complement and compliment. Are they phlox? They look like it in shape, but I have never seen it that color. Love it.

Dear Carolyn,
Thank you for another lovely, dreamy escape to your magnificent home. I love every detail of everything. I look in the background of each picture and study every little bit and it is all so incredible. That pitcher is really a gem and yes, the doll house, lace on the mantle, dishes, dish rack~just everything and the way you put it together is a home run. You are so talented.

Carolyn...coming to your blog is a delight. It is like having a playhouse in your back yard and you invite all of your little girl friends to lunch!

When I was a girl, the neighbors had a wonderful playhouse built in their backyard. It was a girl who was my much older sister's age who had it. I never got to play in it until their son,... who was my younger brother's age, took it over and made it like a hide-out for the "guys".

But it was always my dream to have a playhouse of my own to play in. Well, throughout the years I have enjoyed "playing house" in my own beautiful homes! I like to decorate, and change furniture around, and just change it up all the time.

Here I am 62 and I am still playing house and loving it! (:>) So, now you know why I love to visit your blog! And also your beautiful gardens.

Love, Linda
