Hello everyone,
Just a few roses and such that are blooming in the garden now.
Kitchen window sill.
I walked through the garden alone when the dew is still on the roses. I would sing that for you but you would all leave!

I planted these hollyhock seeds in the spring and was surprised that they bloomed this year but they came on strong in spite of the dry summer-although I did baby them a bit since they were new.

The different stages of them-you can tell I loved them.
It was a beautiful day today to do some much needed garden chores. I planted a few fall bulbs looking ahead to beautiful spring blooms.
Thank you for visiting,
Carolyn

You have thrilled us again with lovely garden shots! You have inspired me and today I thought of your garden pictures when I took some pictures of a garden I visited. Perhaps it is one that you've seen. I posted some of the pics on my blog if you'd like to take a look.
BEAUTIFUL!!!!! I love roses as well, and hope to get sme more in my (stell bare) garden here. Lovely colors too, my fave :)

I always enjoy seeing your roses, Carolyn! I've decided to add one into our bed here at the condo. I really miss the ones I had at our old house, and if I can get one bush in I'll be happy. The hollyhocks are such a pretty color. Your babying them paid off!
Your flowers are very beautiful. I love roses! I have some in my garden too. Unfortunately, a lot of them froze last winter.
Hollyhocks the first year?!!!
I'm glad you didn't sing because... of all the songs that get super stuck in my head - that's one of THE worst! =/ Phew - close escape!
Carolyn. I meant to feed my roses at the beginning of August but it's been so busy. They really seem to need it but... it's so close to frost. I'm betting that we get one at the full moon at the end of the month. Not sure what to do but thinking that it couldn't help. Roses seem to bloom right into the snow.
I just love late summer rose blooms, don't you? Somehow, they're different from the June blooms! =]
xxo
Always like a dream... :)
I'm doing happy jumpy claps right now... to find a blog that has such beautiful pictures, and a kindred spirit, with LOTS of posts in the archives!! It's like discovering the first book in a long series with an author that has a lot of books already published...no waiting! I subscribed through my Wordpress reader-- hope that shows up on your side!
Blessings to you!

Dear Carolyn...Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't but I'll keep trying. I'd feel so sad not to be able to peek into your precious blog.
Take care an have a wonderful day. Susan
As always, love the roses!
The hollyhock is a pretty pink. We had some in Oklahoma, but they were not nearly as pretty--rather washed out color.
Oh my, Carolyn, your hollyhocks are gorgeous!!! I have not had any luck with hollyhocks, i have a neighbour who has some that she didn't even plant and they're gorgeous! Not me unfortunately, I love them so much!
Have a good day.
Cindy
Your roses and hollyhocks are just lovely. I love hollyhocks but the mildew so badly here that my husband pulled them out.
Dear Carolyn,
I was happy to hear both your mother and Lucas are doing well! Please give your mother my best wishes.
Your roses look beautiful. Several roses in our garden have started for a second round too, but not as many as in your garden.
Have a lovely day.

Carolyn, your late roses are so beautiful. I love the peach coloured ones. And I'm amazed that your hollyhocks bloomed. I planted seeds this year and they are just starting to get bigger now. And only about 10 inches high and across. No blooms! I'm hoping next year they will produce better. Enjoy these beautiful late summer days.
I could almost smell the flowers as I read this post Carolyn! Beautiful!
I love your autumn roses! I always thought Autumn Rose would be a wonderful name...and then I met someone named that! Delightful!
Have a lovely day!

What beautiful flowers! I love roses, and hollyhocks remind me of my childhood, since my friend's mom had a row of them thriving in their otherwise dismal backyard. We would always get in trouble for picking the buds to play with.
Everything looks so delicately romantic in your house, as well as about your flowers. Even the light in your photos - I simply love it!
