Autumn Lunch on the Porch

                                                            Welcome!
I am not usually in the mood for Autumn quite this early but since we had lots of hot sunny days this summer, I find myself looking ahead to Autumn. So come on in and join me for lunch today out on the porch.
I picked some veggies from our garden.

And I made a batch of cream of carrot soup-always a nice Autumn choice.
Then I picked some dadlias and hydrangeas.

I used this really old transferware pitcher for a vase.

I am using this pretty transferware today. The only markings on the bottom are Japan.

A gold candle sheds a little light.

We can make ourselves a sandwich.

It is pretty tasty!

Now, I won't send you home without dessert! This peach cobbler is  really good-even if I do say so myself!

Have a little more whipped cream if you like.

I will pour you some more water.

                                                        And a cup of tea.

Maybe you would rather sticky date pudding-I think I like it even better then the peach cobbler. but maybe not -let me try them both again!
                                             Which one is your favorite?

Thank you for joining me for an autumn lunch on the porch today. If you would like the recipe for my sticky date pudding which is very easy to make click here.

Today,I am linking to Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps on the Porch.

Also joining The Charm of Home for Home Sweet Home. and French Country Cottage for Feathered Nest Friday.

                                           Take care,
                                                        Carolyn

Hello Carolyn
As if autumn wasn't my favourite time of year, you have made it more appealing with this lovely lunch.
I love soups and using veggies from the garden. I had to chuckle at your full apron, that's me too! I have several and wear one any time I'm working in the kitchen and...pack one when we visit family. Grandma and her apron! :-)
Both desserts look yummy, are we allowed a smidgeon of both?

Holy cat whiskers I could never choose between those two desserts. Both look amazing. I love this post so much. These are all my favorite colours and Fall is welcomed with open arms. Your brown transfer-ware is so beautiful, my favorite of all dishes. I so look forward to more of your Fall tables. What a sweet photo of you pouring water. Deb

I really envy you your lovely summer. Ours have been mostly rainy and cold. Maybe I should have stayed at your place instead, lol?
Lovely dishes you have there. And the colors are really autumn. I can't say which of the desserts I like most, don't think I've ever tasted any of them.
Hope you'll have a nice Friday.
Love Elzie

Beautiful post! Your table is so lovely and the food looks so good! Thanks for the recipe. I'll make the pudding soon, but if I could I'd enjoy some of both your desserts! I'm not ready for autumn, our winters are long with lots of snow and I always miss my flower gardens.
Blessings,
Nancy

Whoops. Sorry. Made an error above.

Good heavens, Carolyn. That luncheon sounds and looks divine. Just divine.

Never had date pudding but I like date nut bread.

Love peach cobbler.

Now, WHAT, pray tell, is your secret to be able to eat such yummies and stay pencil thin? Is it that you just take teeny tiny portions, or what? Lucky girl! Lucky family! Lucky guests to enjoy all the delicious offerings.

Take care. Susan

So much work in your staging and cooking and photographing. This would have taken me days.
Your use of the golden orangey colors is so artistic, and a true celebration of the season. So inspiring!
