Hello everyone,
I thought it was time to share a few garden shots with you . this is the beginning of the garden out by the road. I gave the old door a quick coat of grey(not aqua) paint. I think I need to distress it a little though.
We have Limelight hydrangeas out here and lots of phlox. A couple of the hydrangeas are not dong well this year though.
Limelight-I love the greenish color it has when it first blooms.
Annnebelle also has a lime green color.
This is to the far left coming in the driveway.
An old chair adds interest to a shady bed of mostly hostas.
I have many different colors and varieties of phlox and they add lots of beauty to the August garden.
I am joining My Romantic Home for Show & Tell Friday..
Thank you for visiting!
Carolyn

Hi Carolyn,
Hydrangas are one of my favourite flowers and your lime/white bushes are gorgeous. The driveway gardens are lovely...you must smile every time you drive up and down the drive.

Even your structural backdrops like fences and garden doors are lovely, Carolyn! Love that willow chair in amongst the plants.
I love your gardens. They are just beautiful. I don't always comment but I am wondering if you put chairs and things away for winter and bring them out again in Spring? Or just leave them out.
Carolyn,
you have a beautiful garden. I love seeing fotos of your garden!
hugs
Your border looks beautiful Carolyn and I like the old wicker chair standing in between.
Have a lovely day!

Very pretty Carolyn. Some of my phlox has not done well, yet my hydrangeas are super this year. Go figure.
It's the wild and wacky weather for sure.

Hi Chris,
Yes,we do put most all of our garden 'stuff' in the barn for the winter. The exception is the bigger cement statues.I don't even want to think about that yet--the seasons go by so quickly but especially summer!
Thank you for your visits.
Carolyn
What would summer be without hydrangeas? Annabelle is one of my very favorites, followed closely by Tardiva (which can take more sun). Some of my gardening friends keep telling me that I should add Limelight to my collection, but I have to make space first. We have lots of sunshine here, and shady space is at a premium.
Your garden looks like a lovely place to sit and relax.
Your garden is absolutely beautiful. I used to have a small garden with over 50 old roses and ramblers but now sadly have a piece of grass the size of a postage stamp. I hope within the next year or so to maybe buy some land and build and have a garden again.
Thank you for sharing.
Lee :)
Ciao Carolyn,

Your garden is a little heaven on earth. I never tire from looking at your beautiful posts. Thankyou for sharing it's beauty.
I really like this area of your garden, phloxes are one of my favourite plants, so many lovely colours and they flower for so long.
So! You do find time to sit and relax in your garden, too, right? How in the world do you decide where to go and where to sit?!!! =/ =]
Oh those hydrangeas - it's nice to be big and fat when you are a flower like that!
The border with the hydrangea and the phlox is just exquisite.
