Hello everyone,
Since Valentine's Day is fast approaching ,I made a few new hearts to go along with the ones I made a couple of years ago. The one on the right is a bought one, but they all look so pretty together.
The one on the left is covered with an old lace doily that I had laying around.
Delicate beauty!
A basket full of hearts.

Hi Carolyn! I miss stopping by here. Just saw your home featured at The Old Painted Cottage for December (Yup....I'm behind) and I absolutely love your Christmas decorations. Just lovely~
ReplyDeleteCarolyn, these are definitely "sweet" hearts. I have a group of little "sweet" hearts made from vintage quilts or fabric that I've gathered through the years. :-)

Hi Carolyn, I LOVE your hearts!!!
ReplyDeleteI think we are on the same wave length lately. Last night I posted about some hearts I have been making. I have had so much fun creating them too. I sent most of them off in the mail today to family members, so I hope to make a few more before the big day to give to some of my friends. It was either this or cookies and my friends always seem to be on diets, so fabric hearts it will be.
I can't help but think of you out skating after seeing your beautiful post of you out there on the ice.
hugs...
Yes yes! Sweet. I love lacy white hearts. And your pinks too! These look so much fun to make!

Those hearts are so feminine and vintage looking, Carolyn! I spent the afternoon sewing some hearts from grain sacks and toile. A good way to spend a snowy, wintery day... :)

ReplyDeleteJust wanted you to know that I'm thanking God for letting me discover your blog! The last two nights (as I just found it yesterday) it has given me such lovely images to fall asleep with! And I love the peaceful music list you have playing it adds to the peaceful pictures you have on here! I plan to share your blog with my mother when she comes for her Birthday/Valentine's tea at the end of the month! I love doing tea but since my school schedule doesn't allow for afternoon tea, I have a cup of tea every morning! And since we rent our home I can't have gardens like what you've got, but I'd love to! And love the fact that you live in a place I've wanted to come visit for years, (P.E. Island!) A New friend in Southeastern Ohio.
ReplyDeleteSuch sweet hearts you've made. They sure look romantic.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a nice weekend.
Love Elzie
