Hello everyone.
Hope you are enjoying your weekend. We are getting snow here now and the wind is supposed to increase so it sounds like we will get our first real snowstorm for this winter.
That makes for a cosy time to curl up by the fire and enjoy a cup of tea.
Since Tuesday is Valentine's Day I thought my heart shaped 2 tiered plate would be pretty with some nice heart shaped cookies. The pink fancy ones were made by my daughter.
Tea and a pretty book to peruse for inspiration.
Still enjoying my roses.
Did I mention the pretty teapot was a lovely Valentine's Day gift a few years ago from my beloved husband - I was delighted with it(still am-him too!) ha!ha!. How many husband's could find such a treasure all by themselves???Thank you for visiting me.
If it is storming where you are,I hope you are warm and cozy inside.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend,
Carolyn
Dear Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteYour man really knows you well ; I love the teapot, what a treasure !!! I've just hosted a Valentine's Day tea party for my friends and we had a lot of fun.
Wishing you a lovely Valentine's Day to you and yours.
Greetings from Toronto! ( the snow is finally here)
Hi Carolyn
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet man to buy you such a lovely teapot all by himself. I really like the 2-tiered hearts with the cookies.
Judith
Hello from stormy New Brunswick. It's been snowing all day here but it's so fine that it's not accumulating fast. Wait until the wind whips it around tomorrow! Your tea is beautiful and I love that teapot. You have a thoughtful hubby! Stay cozy in the storm. Pamela
ReplyDeleteOh how lovely!
ReplyDeleteI honestly don't know what's prettier, Carolyn - the teapot and how perfectly it matches up with the teacup......those cookies your daughter made, WOW!
Everything is harmoniously gorgeous. Well done, my friend.
Thank you.
You are right, Carolyn. Not many husbands would be able to pick out a tea pot as lovely as the one your sweetheart found.
ReplyDeleteEverything looks great! Susan
It's getting nasty out there but your lovely photos warm one right up! The heart stand holding the sweet cookies is adorable and your hubby sure knows how to choose a pretty teapot! Stay cozy!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sandi
Love the look of the heart shaped biscuits they look good
ReplyDeleteCarolyn: I just came across your blog thanks to Maura at Lilac Lane Cottage. I just started my blog and have only posted 2 but I just love what you have done and where you are from. Anne of Green Gables is my bosom friend and I have always been in love with all things Prince Edward Island. Someday I hope to get there. In looking through your older posts you mentioned Dame's Rocket. We have some plants that come back every year and look very much like your white ones, but we were at a loss as to what they were. When they start blooming they are lovely and I will post pictures on my blog. Have a lovely Sunday....Judy
ReplyDeleteHI Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteThe teapot and matching teacup/saucer are just lovely - so pink and romantic :) :) Have a great weekend. Love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather :)
Carolyn, although I'm sure it is quite cold there now it would be so fun to stop in and enjoy one of your lovely cookies and have a good visit with you. I feel a peace and tranquility when I come here. And its always well worth the visit. Love your teapot and tea cup. Such a charming blog.

Both your husband and the teapot are great finds :0)
ReplyDeleteStay warm and safe.
The teapot and the teacup are lovely, Carolyn! They go so well with your table and the roses you have. The cookies look delicious. We had snow showers here on Friday, which went overnight, and Saturday was a bit icy {with a high of only 24 degrees}. I just stayed in and did a little project, watched a couple of movies with hubby and had some hot chocolate, while he had tea. It's funny that he is the tea drinker in our family!
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely gift~your guy sure knows how to please his wife! Love your images Carolyn, just waiting for your book to come out.
ReplyDeleteIs Andrew blushing, Carolyn! Hehe How does he like all the attention?! To add my 2 cents, he's a keeper! LOL Oh, my! Too much fun today. :)
ReplyDeleteLooove the teapot and that heart-shaped plate that you have among your teatime treasures that suits it so well. Great job your daughter did on the cookies, very nice, indeed.
Enjoy your (1st?!) snowstorm - rain, wind and 7 degrees here. We are hoping it will wash away some of our mountains of snow.
Hugs and Luvs,
Linda at Beautiful Ideas
