Garden Mosaics

Hello everyone,
I hope you all had a lovely weekend. Here on the Island it was a long one as it was Islander Day so most people had the day off. I have been working on a few small projects and didn't take any new photos lately so I made some colorful garden mosaics.

As part of Islander Day there were outdoor activities at Dalvey by the Sea so we took a drive out . There was skating, skiing and snowshoeing. It was cold yesterday so we didn't stay long. Some of you Anne fans may remember this old hotel from Anne of Green Gables. It is closed in winter but busy in the summer.
Thank you so much for all your sweet comments on my last post.

I am off to the movies tonight with my daughters to see The Vow-have you seen it yet?

Thank you for visiting,

Carolyn

You've got some of my favorites here, Carolyn ~ peonies and roses! My other favorite is hydrangeas and I'm planning on getting a few that don't grow too big to plant around our condo. I know I will miss them from our old house this year and I always loved to cut some to bring in the house and dry.

How lovely to see your flowers! Love that sweet bunny too! My DIL saw The Vow last night and really enjoyed it. Wonder if I can get Hubby to take me to see it. He enjoyed The Notebook.

Blessings,
Sandi

It has been really cold here as well these past few days. The garden mosaics are a welcome sight. Midge loved the little rabbit! :-) I do recall seeing the 'White Sands' hotel in Anne of Green Gables! Lol The Vow is on my 'Must See' list. Enjoy!

Hey, isn't that the same hotel from Road to Avonlea? PEI must be a wonderful place. Love all the pictures of your garden. So many beautiful flowers.

A feast for these winter weary eyes Carolyn. Beautiful mosaics. Dalvay is such a beautiful spot even in winter. I haven't seen The Vow and it's been over 2 years since I've been to the theater. I hope you enjoyed it. Pamela

This was just what I needed to see tonight! I've had a rough day but as soon as I opened your beautiful post the day turned out to be perfect...seeing such beauty of nature how could it be anything but perfect!?! Beautiful flowers and bunny and gorgeous colors. And, I spied an exquisite teapot with violets!!! Lovely!
And, you brought back wonderful memories of visiting Dalvey by the Sea many years ago. Wonderful!

Dear Carolyn!
I'm writing to you from the distant Hungary in Europe! I've discovered your beautiful and extraordinary blog a few days ago, and I'm amazed by your world. I hope that one day my dream will come true and I can visit my favourite Prince Edward island, where Anne lived and where your home and garden is!! I love all your topics, especially about tea cups, china tablewear and of course gardening! Your pictures are so nice and heart-warming (if you have this expression in english).
So thank you for the blog and a wish you all the best!

Yes.. after seeing your dusting of snow, I ended up getting some too.. WHAT.. wait.. just I thought it was so sweet and inviting didn't really mean I wanted some too.. geesh, I'll keep my mouth shut next time I wish for something like that.. (wink)

I can smell those peonies from here.. so perfect and heady! I hope you're trip to the movies was filled with 'girlie' stuff and that the movie was a feel good movie instead of a heart breaking one.

warm hugs your way,
Cotton Peony

Oh how I wish I had the opportunity to visit your beautiful garden one day. And you have snow too. Here it's been raining and very windy today so most of the snow has gone - thankfully!!

Kære Carolyn.

Alt det sne man kommer helt til at fryse. Men dejlige billeder. Her i Danmark er det begyndt at pible op af jorden med forårs blomster.

Carolyn, these photos are breathtaking! Now, wouldn't you want to 'stop and smell the flowers' in here. Hehehe. The bunny is so adorable. With a garden like this, I wouldn't mind just staying home and enjoying the sights that surround me.
