Afternoon Tea

Hello everyone,
I am happy you stopped by as I have afternoon tea all prepared for you.
I was in the mood for some pretty pastels today.

My husband made this 3 tiered plate for me by drilling a hole in the center with a special bit on his drill. He is definitely a keeper!
Love this pretty teacup from Winner's.

I also love this lacy little stand for sweets or teacups that came from TJMAXX a few years ago.
The heart shaped biscuits look pretty on the  bottom tier.
My iron angel is keeping watch.
One of my favorite teacups-a thrift find.
I have a gift for you before you go!
Love that rose!
We received several centimeters of snow this afternoon and evening and a little peek outside my door tells me it is beautiful out there. I hope it doesn't all blow off the trees before I get a chance to photograph it!

I am joining A Delightsome Life for Home and Garden Thursday and Between Naps on the Porch for Tablescape Thursday.

Thank you for stopping in for afternoon tea.

Take care,

Carolyn

Dear Carolyn, I have just found your blog, and I love it! Serendipity...I have been trying for ages to find the name and maker of the plate pattern (with turquoise) on the bottom of your tiered stand...I have only seen it in a magazine once, and thought it was so pretty... even sent the photo to Replacements; they thought it looked similar to "Lady Ascot" by Royal Albert, but not quite...I would love it if you could tell me the name! Best, Anne

Hello Carolyn
Everything looks lovely as usual and flaky biscuits again.
I'm wondering if February will have the same weather as January, such a mild winter this year.

Thank you so much ~ I apologize for being so eager!

Hi Anne,
I just left a comment on one of your blogs but I will answer here as well- the name of the plate you liked is Naples and it is made in England.

I hope this helps you in your search and thank you for visiting me!

Pretty pastels are perfect for an afternoon tea table. The chintz and thrifted cups and saucers are lovely to view and for drinking tea. The angel gives a serene feel to this setting! The tea party food is very dainty and delicious looking. We are having a very warm winter and wish for lots of rain. I will be watching and looking forward to your photos of snow! Happy Tablescaping! Olá,Carolyn! Amei a sua decoração. Principalmente o anjinho que está sobre a mesa, eu tenho um ajinho de resina que fica na parede da entrada de minha casa. O seu chá acompanhado com as rosas ficou um charme. Abraço,

Hi Carolyn,

I am just realizing that I missed a few of your posts - how could that happen?! Lol So, please forgive me as I am late with my comments. And, I don't imagine there is a crumb of biscuit left for me to taste. Poor me! Lol

Now, I have to ask this - Did you shape your tea biscuits with a heart cutter, or do they just 'know' to do this while baking in the oven for you?!!! Tee hee. I couldn't resist. I love my heart-shaped cutter and don't the heart shapes make 'em taste even better - if that's even possible? See ya. :-) Next time I won't be so late for tea!

Hugs,
Linda at Beautiful Ideas
