Mainly Teacups

Hello everyone,
We had another spring like day here today making, causing the weather man to say it is " Junuary" ! That is a bit of a stretch but it is definitely not our usual winter. I don't have any new photos for you today but I thought you might enjoy a few of my favorite teacup collages.

Some of you may have noticed that I seem to have teacup fetish so I think I have enough teacups to have all the ladies on the Island over for tea! Well, that may be another stretch but you get the picture.
It is one of my sweet daughters birthday today so we are off to help her celebrate. It was definitely a lot colder and snowier the January she was born!

I am honored to be featured on Lauriane's lovely blog check it out here.

Take care,
Carolyn

Caroloyn, you have so many lovely teapots and tea cups. Your roses are wonderful, too! What is the name of that pretty, delicate looking pink rose in the last mosaic, top right? It is just dreamy!

I always enjoy seeing your tea cup posts and Happy Birthday to your dear daughter. I thought of you today as I was in the garden doing some clean up work. We too have had an unseasonably warm winter for N FL. Most Jan. we are in the 30's or 40's and we have been in the mid 70's for almost two weeks. I have azalea's that are beginning to bloom. I fear that we will have a really cold snap in Feb. and we won't be able to enjoy the cycle of blooms on the azalea's. It is very strange for me to be having camelia's in full bloom at the same time as the azalea's. Strange weather we are all having all over. I even have some daffodils that look as if they are going to bloom early as well. I can't even imagine the heat we will experience this summer.

I do love your red and white transferware, Carolyn! I see one I haven't seen before ~ the toile in the last picture. Gorgeous! I'm hearing talk of El Nino again; the last time was back in '95 {I believe} when our January in NY was 60 for most of the month and California got snow that year!

Hi Carolyn,
Well, you must know my favourite photos are of the pink transferware - especially the one of you in your cute toile apron holding the stack of teacups! I am fond of them all, though. I've never met a teacup that I didn't love! I am enjoying the 'Apple Blossom' one that you sent!
We had a little 'spring' today here, too! Isn't this a wonderful winter?! Not sure the effect on the gardens, though...
Hugs,
Linda XO

Hello Carolyn....How nice to be featured on that other blog! Beautiful.

Love all your tea cups. I don't care at all if I may have seen them before. You could repeat ALL of your posts, and they would still be a treat.

Hope you have fun with your girls. Susan

Hi Carolyn,

Congratulations on your daughters birthday! I hope you had a lovely day.

I enjoyed your 'teacup' post. You have even more teacups than I have :-)! I always find it difficult to resist a pretty cup, when in the thrift store. Just bought two new ones (Royal Albert - Enchantment) recently). I really don't know where I will put them. My cupboards are all full :-)!

Have a lovely day!

Happy birthday to your daughter!
About your lovely teacups, I don't think you are a collector -- you are a curator! They are so carefully selected, and lovingly and skillfully photographed.
I tried to pick a favorite -- silly me. But it was nice to just sit and "drink" them in, trying to choose.
I went to Lauriane's blog to read about you, but alas I can't read Spanish. Do you have a translation?

Teacups are endlessly appealing and your collection is such a visual treat, Carolyn! If anyone could host a tea for the entire island, it would be you! :)

Happy Birthday to your daughter. Hope you had a lovely celebration!
