A White Christmas

Hello everyone,
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas. I was so happy to have some snow arrive a couple of days before Christmas as it had been so mild and I was resigning myself to a green one.It was Christmas card perfect!
Come along and I will show you some of the beautiful sights!

Beaconsfield(a museum) is open to the public for tours and it is decorated in the Victorian style.
Fanningbank

and now back home.

It was a beautiful gift from above just in time for Christmas!

We had a lovely Christmas with all of our children and grandchildren gathered around our table for our traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings-a blessing indeed! Last night we had five of our little grandchildren(6 years and under) for a sleepover with a night coming soon for the 3 older ones.Little Lila was not feeling well so she didn't stay the night this time.It is so much fun to see them having such a good time together.
On a different note I got a new lens for my camera so now I am off to practice on this beautiful bright winter day!
Thank you to all who left such lovely kind wishes for me this Christmas season. I had hoped to be able to get back to you all personally but time slips by too fast.

Thank you for visiting me today.

Carolyn

Prince Edward Island looks lovely in Christmas White! Thank you for the tour. I feel a connection though i've never visited the island. I grew up on Vancouver island but my grandfather was born in Charlottetown. I'd love to visit there one day. All the best for the New Year Carolyn! Thank you for sharing peace and gentle loveliness with us year round.

What absolutely gorgeous photos. Thank you so much for sharing them. We, too have been blessed by your white Christmas snowfall. So glad you had a warm and wonderful Christmas! Have just been re-reading (and mentioned it on my blog) a Christmas theme mystery by CC Benison, a Canadian, whose main character is a housemaid at Buckingham Palace who helps the queen solve mysteries. She is from Charlottestown!
Cheers!

Your photos a gorgeous. So calm and peaceful. I love the one with the lighthouse and house reflected in the water. The lamp post would make a beautiful Christmas card.
We had a brown Christmas so loved seeing your snowy ones.

What a lovely Christmas weather! Here in Sweden we had rainy, grey days and a terrible storm called Dagmar (!) in the northern parts! Not a very pleasant Christmas at all.
I just love those old houses that you shown us today. And the people that takes care of them. Looks lovely. The blue one with the veranda is my favorite apart from yours, lol.
Hope you have a nice day with your new lens.
Love Elzie

How lovely those houses all look - I love the white one above the word Fanningbank, it's a really elegant building. Glad you had a good Christmas and I hope little Lila is feeling better now.

Haha, now I'm beginning to be a little afraid for myself!! The house I ment wasn't even blue!!! It was light brown, or cendre as we call it! I don't know what you call that color? (The 4th picture from the end).
Love again, Elzie

Hi Carolyn,

Happy to hear you and Andrew had a wonderful Christmas! The snow looks magical. I am a bit envious ;-)! It was green and even warm for the time of year in Holland. The sleepover of your grandchildren sounds like fun. I hope you managed to get some sleep yourself :-)?!

Enjoy the last few days of the year. Good luck with your new lens.

Lieve groet,

Madelief x

Hello Carolyn

How fortune that the snow arrived just in time and what fairytale houses in the snow: they look too perfect to be real.

What fun to have all the little grandchildren around for a sleepover: your home must be filled with laughter.

I love your White Christmas pictures. I am always afraid to pray for snow for Christmas as we travel early on Christmas morning to my daughter's house 70 miles away. I love the idea of a grandchild sleep-over. I can't wait until mine are old enough. Merry Christmas and have fun with your new camera!

Beautiful photos and beautiful houses. I dream of living in a house like these.

In the UK I can't even get a dolls house in that style.

Have a wonderful New Year. Can't wait to see your garden and home in full swing in 2012. xx
