Romantic Candlelight

Hello everyone,
One of the things I enjoy about the long winter nights is the romantic glow of candlelight in our home.A couple of nights ago we enjoyed a cozy candlelight dinner with the wood fireplace going and the Christmas tree nearby. It is one of the things I look forward to the most when the garden is put to bed for winter and the colder temperatures force me indoors.

The bannister on the stairway gives a warm glow in the hallway as well.

I love old drippy candles.

The candle chandelier adds charm.
Candles glowing in the hall.

A few Christmas touches in our home.
Hope you are enjoying a warm cozy night by the glow of candlelight!

Last night we hosted a potluck dinner for 27 people and I took some pictures of the tables beforehand to share with you soon. We will be eating leftovers for days!

I am joining French Country Cottage for Feathered Nest Friday and My Romantic Home for Show And Tell.

Thank you for visiting,
Carolyn

Your home looks so beautiful lit up by candlelight, Carolyn! I love lighting candles, too, especially on cloudy days. I think it just gives a homey, cozy look and feel.

Oh I agree. I love these evenings with all the lights off except the tree, the staircase and the dining room hutch and buffet. Very serene, your house is always so warm looking.

Ohhhhh, Carolyn. Your post makes me want to eat dinner near the fireplace and Christmas tree here before it's all taken down. That would be so lovely.

Your home looks magical...the enchanted kingdom of Carolyn on Prince Edward Island! So very wonderous. Susan

I love the soft light of candles and the glow of little white lights on my tree. I'm rather sad to to be undoing the Christmas touches tomorrow. I do hope the vacuum is up to the task of catching all the fir needles!

Your home is beautiful all year, but there is something magical about it at Christmas. All the soft lighting with candles and string lights sets such a lovely background for dinner, or just relaxing. Your guests must feel like they've entered a fantasy land when they come for dinner!

Hello Carolyn, and Happy New Year.
I think the dreamy colour you painted on the walls enhances the glow from all your candles - beautiful!
We would be hard pressed to find room for 27 people to sit down in our small bungalow but I'm sure you had plenty and a great time.

Carolyn,

You are truly something special! I have looked at so many blogs and have never seen anything so beautiful. We have such a similar style. I just starting blogging back in the fall and I just got a new camera so I am still learning but I hope to be able to capture my home and style as you have on your blog. I am going to be your blog stalker!
