Christmas Past

Hello everyone,
How was your weekend? We enjoyed ours and the weather is staying unseasonably warm but we are not complaining!
I have started decorating for Christmas and will share some photos soon.
For now it is just some pics from last year that some of you would not have seen and for those of you that have I hope you don't mind a second look.

Enjoy the rest of your evening. Tomorrow it is still going to be warm and sunny so I hope to finish decorating our little 'cottage' and have some pictures to share with you.

Take care,
Carolyn

Carolyn, everything is so beautiful. I don't know how you find the energy for all that decorating! It must take days to get everything just right. A labor of love, no doubt.

I hope this year is just as splendid.

It certainly is warm, isn't it? Very odd for November, but I'm not complaining either! There are still bulbs to be planted!

These are just fantastic, Carolyn! Your photos make my heart go pitter patter, pitter patter. Midge says that I should not be surprised that we have so many similar decorations! Haha

I love that creamy urn with the greens and a touch of berries, so festive, indeed! And, the statuary brought in from the garden and assigned to new duty guarding the tree is one of the things I love to do, too!

It all looks just too BEAUTIFUL! Thank you for putting me in the Christmas spirit tonight! Lol I'll be baaaackkk....

Hugs,
Linda at Beautiful Ideas

Beautiful pictures full of Christmas cosiness! Love all the decorations! A real Christmas Home with Christmas in every little corner. Can't wait to see your pictures of this year's decoraton already ;-)
Oh and if you should get tired of the warm beautiful weather ;-) just send it over here please, it's been grey and dark and foggy and cold for more than two weeks here now and I've really had enough of it. I would even welcome rain now I think, more exciting than this dull weather. Oh my, guess this weather has really gotten to me... ;-)
Bye,
Marian

Lovely pictures, Carolyn! Honestly, I think I would enjoy seeing Christmas pictures all year round. Loved the teal transferware in your previous post too.
I've been down with a bug for days and am itching to get at my decorating. Don't feel much like it though with the tummy feeling the way it does.
Enjoy the rest of your evening.

Blessings,
Sandi

Hello Carolyn
The weather has been rather nice for this time of year, hasn't it? The snow we had was gone in a day.
Looking at Christmas pictures is soothing, must be the happy family gatherings that we associate with them.
Looking forward to your creativeness this year.

So beautiful Carolyn. I can hardly wait to start decorating for the holidays, but some things have come up that will delay the process a little, but then it will be 'DECK THE HALLS' time for me!

Tom wonders why I'm squeaking and giggling in here. heeeheheheheheeee!

Oh, I just love Christmas! I love this! I just love it!!! (Oh, I've said that already....but...I so do love it!)

I saw something very pretty in a recent, Christmassy issue of "Romantic Homes", this year. It was an Emilie Tolley kind of white, natural, herby decor and on each white plate on the Christmas table, there was a little gingerbread house with simple white frosting decoration. The brown of the gingerbread was very harmonious with the natural scheme. Plus, like in your post here, there's something very magical about miniature houses - miniature fairytale, lilliputian, warm, european like houses. I very much hope that I can set our little snow scene up, this year. We haven't, since we moved.

Thanks for the joy, joy, joy!!!

btw, you know, in the US, we aren't 'technically' supposed to start the Christmas season until a week from this Thursday - the US Thanksgiving. We're straining at the bit.;) However, Thanksgiving for most, here, is a beautiful holiday because it is, indeed, very simple compared to the whirlwind of fun that's just to come. Perhaps, it's the same for you, in Canada?
