Good Times

Hello everyone,
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. We are having beautiful weather here and it was the last weekend before school starts up again. It is so hard to believe that summer is almost over.
I am joining Cielo today for Show Off your Cottage Monday and she asked what we are celebrating so I thought I would show you a little of our celebrations this past week.
In the first mosaic,  I am celebrating that there is still lots of color in the garden.
Celebrating family get togethers with good food.
family fun
Good food! I had a request from my oldest daughter for peach cream crumble pie so I made a couple for our family camping night.Everyone enjoyed the pie and the camping night here in our garden. Click here for a previous peach post with the recipe for the delicious pie.
We had a bonfire, boat rides in our new pond, marshmellow roasts, and hide and seek games after dark for those brave enough! It was a lot of fun and we are already making plans for next years.
Three of the little ones above will be going into Grade One this year-where has the time gone. They are all looking forward to it-older ones not so much!

Well, that is what we celebrated this past week. Now, you can visit Cielo to find out what others are celebrating at the house in the roses.

Thank you for visiting ,

Carolyn

Happy Monday, Carolyn!

You must have been up with the birdies this morning! Midge and I so enjoy the pics of the little ones. What a time you all must have had - the bonfire, the marshmallow roast, the boat rides, the swings, the food!!! (I'm thinking you must now have your new oven...) It's like not having to leave home for the BEST SUMMER CAMP EVER!!! Lucky little ones and big people, too! SMILE. Isn't it so nice to be able to savour these last days of summer bliss. Hope your week is as lovely as you, my friend...

Hugs,
Linda and Midge

P.S. My mom visited with me in my garden yesterday and loooved the teapot!

Looks like a lot of fun at your place this summer Carolyn. We had a couple of events when all the grandchildren were here and just loved having our family together as well.
The desserts you served look yummy and I like your daughter's choice for pie.
