Tea Time

Hello everyone,
I am happy you stopped by today for tea as I made some cupcakes and I need a little help eating them!

Let's have a cup of tea and a sandwich or two first.
I am not a fancy cake decorator like some of you so a little viola is as good as it gets around here!

I thought we could sit out under the mock oranges today and enjoy their sweet fragrance and beauty.

Mock orange

Hope you enjoyed our tea and cupcakes under the mock oranges today.

I am joining Sandi at Rose Chintz Cottage today for Tea Time Tuesday.

We had a strange day weather wise today as it started out sunny then a thunder shower followed by sunshine and finally a little more thunder before cooling off for the evening. I took lots of garden photos early and then lots more after the rain to capture the beauty of the raindrops! I will share those with you later and the roses are blooming now so I took some pretty pics of those too.

Thank you for visiting,

Carolyn

Hi Carolyn! What a beautiful tea! I love those little violas on the cupcakes. The cupcakes were delicious but the star fish was a little crunchy! :)
Be a sweetie,

A lovely post and I love the violas on your cupcakes. It was hot and humid again here today but not as hot as Sunday! Did you see my post on Kingsbrae Garden? Have you been there? Such a beautiful place but I kept thinking of you and your beautiful gardens. Have a wonderful week. Pamela

Hi Carolyn
I don't decorate much either on cakes, they end up too pretty to eat.
Your tea in the garden looks delightful, hope it is cooler there.

A splendid tea, milady! The cupcakes looked dreamy - loved the pansy garnish! Now, about your garden flowers - your photos made them so crisp and clear I could almost smell them! So lovely!

Joyful! I adore your photography.

I often use violas and other blooms to decorate my cakes. Infact I included lavender in my shortbread recipe in my penultimate blog post. Here in the Loire Valley we have an awful lot of lavender at the moment!

Thank you for inviting us for tea in your little corner of paradise.

Hello Carolyn,
What a beautiful post! I love your cupcakes with the little viola on the top...I'm sure they tasted as good as they looked. What a beautiful place to live PEI...everything looks so green and lush. It reminds me of British Columbia where I am from but now live in Kansas. We are drying up down here with temperatures of 40C and no rain for a month or more. Visiting your blog is so refreshing. I will be back again...thank you for the eye candy!

Hi Carolyn,
What a gorgeous spot for a tea! I can just imagine how heavenly those blossoms smell too. Your little cupcakes look so demure adorned with their sweet little posies. Lovely post. Thanks for joining me for tea and I hope your week is going well. Today was such a nice day that we spent the entire day out at the beach! We've waited a long time for this!

Blessings,
Sandi
