Lunch in the Bay

Hello everyone,
With yet another cool windy day here we are confined to the indoors for our lunch today but at least we can enjoy the lushness of the garden from the bay window.
I am still enjoying my lilacs and love to pick bouquets of them to enjoy indoors.
I have been picking up some thrifty china here and there lately so the table has a summery look.

I love the soft aqua green color of the china and did you notice the little pitcher even has polkas dots on it.

My aqua green china was all bought for less then $5.

a pretty little teacup

The first warm sunny day we have here I look forward to having a garden tea but for now I hope you enjoyed lunch in the bay.

I am joining Susan for Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps on the Porch

Thank you for visiting,

Carolyn

Hello, dear Carolyn! What a treat to see this post this morning. Your table setting is a thing of beauty and so inspiring. We, like so many, are having a late start to summer, although today is supposed to be sunny and warm. Your lovely luncheon table is a bright and welcoming scene! – g

No matter the weather outside, Carolyn, your tables are always sunny with beautiful dishware! Those bickies look mighty good, too, my friend! Lol

We have been having such a poor spring here - we've not seen the sun in so long - that I keep having to remind myself of the sentiment behind this beautiful quote:

"If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasing; if we did not sometimes taste adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome..." Anne Bradstreet

Love that and your site, too!

Wishing you and your friend Heather a beautiful day together,

Linda
