Blue and White Guest Room

Hello Everyone,

It is hard to believe that another week is almost over and it is time for Show and Tell Friday at My Romantic Home again. So today I am showing our blue and white guest room -sorry I know some of you have seen it before but hopefully some of you have not.

A mirror image.

Since I love to display my china even the bedroom has a few touches.

I love this angel that came from Home Goods a few years ago.

I think this also came from Home Goods.

I was wishing that I had a bouquet of white tulips in the pitcher but alas I didn't have any.

I wish I knew how to photograph better by a window- anyone have any tips?

How about some breakfast in bed?

Well, you may have noticed that I love toile so since our children have all grown up, I have indulged myself!

We have been enjoying lots of sunshine lately although the temperature has been below seasonal-guess we can't have everything so I'll take the sunshine.

Don't forget to pop into My Romantic Home for lots of other participants.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Carolyn

Your blue an white guest room is so lovely, calm and peaceful. You must enjoy the Antique Shops and the treasures you find there. I clicked on "Victoria By the Sea", having grown up by the sea in Victoria BC.
I loved the tour of this sweet village and think I must plan to visit Prince Edward Island. It's a dream I've had forever but I have to make it come true before too long. My great grandfather was born in Charlottetown. Thanks for a glimpse of how lovely it is on your island!

Hi Carolyn,
I love your guest room. Most of my life I have decorated my bedroom with blue and white. I have not seen this before. I love the wallpaper. I hope the sun keeps shining for you; one of these days spring will be here.

I don't ever remember seeing this guest room! But even if I had , I could look at it over and over again it is so pretty!!

Carolyn I almost forgot how much I love this room. The wallpaper is one of my favorites of all your lovely rooms. I will never tire of blue and white. I remember my favorite issue of Victoria years ago was all blue and white decor. I dig it out every Winter and get lost in it's pages.
I loved all your gorgeous mosaic in your previous post. Whenever I see you have posted a mosaic, I study it and try to take everything in.

sending hugs your way,

We got another 5" of snow today...sigh...

Hi Carolyn -- your warmest image is the one by the window -- it glows; I can imagine sitting on this chentille, gently touching the wallpaper with my hand as a gaze at the angel, but have to run I grab my gloves but before I leave I lean down to smell the rose. -- Terri www.morningdewdrops.typepad.com

When I opened up your post, I was shocked to see that you and I have almost the exact same guest rooms. The wallpaper is so close that I really had to look twice....and your bed is identical to mine. I have used all blue and white as you have done....just a little different patterns. Wow....we must be "birds of a feather"......I love your room and it is much neater than mine!!

Oh, I could live in that room! So beautiful. I just love looking at your photos, Carolyn, especially of your house and gardens. Visiting your blog is like treating myself to a lovely and expensive magazine or decorating book filled with not just one or two images that thrill me, but nothing but images that thrill me. Thank you so much for taking your valuable time to bless us with this beautiful, restorative blog. Bess

Beautiful and peaceful guest bedroom. You did a great job staying within a strict color palette of just 2 colors, blue/white, and yet, making the room beautiful.
