Hello everyone,
I know it seems like everyday is tea day here, but until my garden comes into bloom, it is one of my favorite topics it seems. Anyway, I have a few things I wanted to share with you.
One of them is the lovely cupcakes my oldest daughter made at the cake decorating class she is in. I am always happy to have her stop in after class to share the goodies! I am wishing I had joined in on the class, but hopefully my girls can give me a lesson or two. Hey! wait, when did the times change-it used to be me teaching them .But, just a minute(my) girls if you are reading this, don't get too smug- I still have a trick or two up my sleeve!!!

My geranium is covered with blooms, and made it into the post because it happened to be in the same room, and nothing is overlooked by my camera it seems.
Now for the lovely giveaway I won over at Jen's lovely blog, A Garden of Threads, a few weeks ago. I was really excited to find out I was the lucky winner.

Jen sent me this lovely plate -perfect for the gardener's soul with it's nature theme.
Also included in the parcel was a few seed packages, with the cutest packaging on them- photos she took of the flowers made into a little envelope.
And look at this-isn't it beautiful! Jen is a beautiful quilter, and I love this perfect little table topper.I appreciate the work that went into making this for me, the lucky winner! Hi Carolyn, congratulations on winning that sweet give away with the beautiful quilted table topper. Regarding dolls, I too play with dolls until I was 13. It's sad to think that most little girls don't want to bother with them after they're 8 or 9 now. I noticed the two teacups with the pink blossoming trees. I think my aunt had a set of those dishes and I always liked it. Could you please tell me the pattern? Thanks. Your tea table looks lovely as always and your daughter makes beautiful cupcakes :-) Pam

Could your teapot be Wedgewood?
I loved this post, everything was so pretty. I am a great cook, however I am not a baker ! I just can not bake a cake for some reason. I read that the differance is a baker will follow the rules and not change the recipe... Just yesterday I tried that, but I did not have enough plain flour so I added a bit of self-rising, sifted the sugar with the flour before I read it was to be beaten with the eggs...oops, over beat the batter and then thought it was way to little of an amount for the two round pans so I put it all in one... guess how it turned out.
Your photos are all so pretty ! I'll take a dozen of those cupcakes please :o) Sue

Hi Carolyn, Always enjoy visiting your blog and the cupcake is gorgeous, your DD was so sweet to share. Spring should be coming your way soon. Here in N FL we are experiencing Spring like weather and I posted some recent garden pics on my blog for today. We are experiencing some rain and thunderstorms today but that is a good thing and hopefully it will wash away some of our pollen.
You mentioned that you will be traveling to FL soon and I think you said central FL??? It should be getting quite warm there and I hope you enjoy your visit.
I am planning to plant more clematis this year as a result of seeing some of your gorgeous clematis. I don't see them here at nurseries very often but one of your blogging friends sent me a wonderful website. I plan on putting an order together soon. It is still very cold in the area where they will come from so she won't ship just yet but hopefully I will get them soon.

Your daughters are very talented in the cake baking. Funny as time goes by what we can learn from our daughters.
The teapot is indeed Adderley Chelsea. You can find quite a few pieces on ebay.

I´m not sure but, the teapot could be of Swedish design. I recognize the pattern and it looks like a vine or grapes with leaves. I have seen this lighter shade of blue and also a darker blue. There are also a lot of different shapes.
It could be named "Gustavsberg Blå blom" or "Rörstrand Blå blom" - in translation, Blå blom means Blue bloom.
Rörstrand started the production in 1870 and in the 1900´s Gustavsberg took over (is also spelled Gustafsberg).
