Hello everyone,
I am so glad I had my outdoor tea last week when the temperature was milder instead of the -17 it is here today. However, the sun is shining and we had a fresh coat of sparkly white fluff over everything making it beautiful out there!
My little afternoon break is actually not tea but a lovely cup of hot cocoa with whipped cream and cinnamon and some pretty sugar cookies (the recipe is on yesterdays post if you are interested).
My tulips seem to follow me wherever I go!
Grab a pair mittens and cover up with a throw if you are chilly.
Hot cocoa is such a lovely treat on a winter day.
Some extra hot cocoa for you in this cute little teapot.
Can I pour some for you?
winterized in picnik
Maybe you would like to go skating after your cocoa?
Well that was a lovely little break in the fresh air- I enjoyed it and I hope you did too!It is going to warm up tomorrow but we are supposed to get 15- 25 cm. of that fluffy stuff tomorrow with winds so winter is here for awhile.
I am joining in White Wednesday at Faded Charm again today, thank you Kathleen for hosting and I am also joining Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps on the Porch - thank you Susan. Enjoy all the beauty at these two parties.
Also, I am joining in at a new to me party at Boogieboard Cottage for Masterpiece Monday-check out all the masterpieces!
Hope you have a lovely day!
Take care,
Carolyn

Just Beautiful! Wish I was there, cold and all. Great photo shoot! judy
OH! How very gorgeous!! Just perfect and beautiful! I just love, love, love a romantic and pretty tea party! Recently I went with some friends to 'high tea' at Rutherford House here in Edmonton and it was a lot of fun. That was the first time I have gone for 'tea' anywhere since I have lived in the West. Teahouses are not common here like they are in the Maritimes. You have inspired me to have a little tea party for my girlfriends! Wishing you a wonderful day and stay warm! Angie xo
What a Wonderful White Way to beat the Winter Blues :)
Life is what you make of it, and upon visiting your lovely blog it's clear, you enjoy life no matter the season. Thank you for sharing such beautiful images and inspiration, xoxo tami

Hello Carolyn...Absolutely delightful outdoor excursion. I'm afraid if I did that here, the hot chocolate would end up being chocolate ice cream! ha! Take care and have a super day. Susan

Love your photos. So pretty. I love winter time. It's my favorite season.
Dearest Carolyn,
That cocoa is something we enjoy daily; minus the whipped cream as it is no longer in our diet allowance.
Looks fresh and crisp and I hope your skirt was keeping you warm enough... The top certainly looked comfy and warm.
Have a great week!
Mariette
Oh, this looks absolutely lovely...especially the cup of hot cocoa with a generous amount of whipped cream and cinnamon sprinkles :) :) Oh, those mittens are so cute. When I saw those, I thought that I might want to knit a pair for myself :) :) :) Have a great day. Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :) :) :)

It's one of my dreams to take a cup of tea or a breakfast in a corner of my garden like you in the picture... maybe in the future...in my next new house... I hope...
Lovely post Carolyn, so beautiful.

Rita
Wow, Carolyn! Lovely photos but you wouldn't catch me drinking hot chocolate outside this time of year! You're the brave one! Your snowflake cookies are so pretty and I love the teapot! Hope you're all snug with another storm on the way.
Blessings,
Sandi
hello Carolyn
everything is a charm ... but tell me how you feel this to 'open with those cold temperatures? without a coat? In Italy we are so chilly. We stay at home and 10 °
a presto
simonetta
Everything looks so lovely. You are a brave one for I could not stand to be out in the cold.
Willow
Just beautiful. Hard to believe that you're experiencing snow when in Australia it is going to be 40°C today!
Absolutely wintery and gorgeous ~ I would like my hot chocolate inside if you please ;-)
Hello Carolyn,
What an amazing winter wonderland you live in! I think you live in a postcard, the beauty astounds me everytime! Thanks for sharing it with me!
Hugs,
Bella
Hello Carolyn
Your winter break is so inviting. A lovely post! Three years ago we spent two weeks at the Colonial Charm Inn and the owner Shelley sells vintage jewelry and linens etc. I had a blast going through her cases and cases of bling. Every morning when we went down to the dining room she had more for me to look at. You should check it out and tell her I said "hi". Take care.
Wanda
Carolyn,
I'd have to say this is the best W.W. post I've ever seen! How dreamy!
Carolyn,
Very beautiful post, even if it made me shiver just a bit!
You are amazing when it comes to
table scaping for tea time. . .
Have a warm and happy week,
Sue
Lovely, Carolyn. Just lovely! That hot chocolate and cookies look sooo good!! But if I come by for a winter visit, can I have some hot cocoa to put my toes in while I sit there with you....? lol!
Carolyn, it is gorgeous. I love the plays of the different whites. But I have to say, I am glad it is you and not me outside at 0°. I don't even want to try to imagine -17°! But your hot cocoa looks yummy.
Lovely post. I feel cold by looking at the snow. Hot chocolate sounds good right now.
Carolyn, I love this sequel to Winter Bliss. Both of these posts are magical. Winter white is so enchanting, and you do everything with such a gracious style. Both of these should be in a magazine. Gorgeous! ~ sarah
This is the most delightful post I've read in ages. I love the idea of having hot cocoa outside in the snow. The snowflake cookies are the icing on the cake. I loved the snow coming down and the bits of snow on the tulips!
Beautiful dishes!!! But -17??!?!! Oh, my goodness! I'm going to stop complaining about our paltry (by comparison) +17! Have a warm week!
This is so beautiful -- it could make me like Winter....well almost! What a pretty post.
Your photos are beautiful and the setting is so romantic. Stay warm! Linda
Totally gorgeous photos, you make me want to have Winter here. Would be a nice change to have some snow, we get mostly grey and rain this time of year!
Linda
Such a beautiful setting. How brave of you to shoot such a scene in this weather.

Hi Carolyn...
What a beautiful winter's table you set for us today, my friend! It is absolutely breathtaking! I really do think that everything is so beautiful and magical while covered in snow! The country scenery couldn't have been more beautiful...thank you for sharing it with us! Ohh my...and what a lovely table you set, my friend! I just adore the pretty white tulips and fresh pine that you used for a centerpiece! And...once again...you have surprised us with another pretty teapot! My friend, I think I have lost count on the amount of teapots that you have! Hehe! The cocoa and sugar cookies look scrumptious...what a treat! Again, thank you so much for sharing your afternoon reprise with us!
I'm so glad that you stopped by for a visit today, dear friend! I always enjoy your sweet notes! Thank you!
Warmest winter wishes,
Chari @Happy To Design
PS...now I'm heading off to look at that sugar cookie recipe!
This is a very pretty table scape! I would like to invite you to link this up to my new link party, Masterpiece Monday, at Boogieboard Cottage. The link will be up all week. Take care, Mary :O)

Just exquisite, Carolyn. Warm vision of sweet bliss.

Carolyn, you are so brilliant to do an outdoor winter tablescape in our climate! It looks wonderful, like something from a movie, only the snow and the cold are real! I love it! It's a good thing you did it before the real cold snap hit us. Blessings, Pamela
That hot cocoa looks very inviting. I love the idea of going outside and having your tea. Of course it all looks pretty when looking at photos and you are inside. You are a brave gal for sitting out in the cold! :) Love the snowflake cookies.
Thank you for your sweet comments on my post. I so appreciate them. We are getting snow and wind here today. I even had to cancel my hair appointment in town! Oh dear - another week to wait. I think we're only getting about 10 cm. but I hear you will be getting a lot more. I hope your power stays on until your baking is done :-) Have a blessed day and stay cozy. Pam
You always have the most beautiful tablescapes. The hot cocoa and cookies look wonderful.
PS I love your outfit!

You are so good in "catching" the beautiful scenes :)

Even though I don't tolerate the cold after having lived too many decades in the fierce heat of the Arizona Desert, I must say you make a day outside in the Snow even look inviting and magical to me! *wink*

Hi Carolyn,
I love it! It looks like it would be the perfect weather for an outdoor cup of hot chocolate. You set a lovely table and the hot choc. looks delectable! So do the sweets.
Hugs, Cindy
How very sweet this brrr tea is. Love those snowflake cookies and all the great snow clothing! Gorgeous. Thanks for braving the cold to take photos!
Such a beautiful post! I just love the white, you are so brave! Dishes are lovely.
So lovely! The setting looked cold, for sure, and hot chocolate seemed to be just the right thing that day. I hope the tulips were able to warm back up, the poor dears.
Wow Carolyn, these photos are gorgeous!! You are so good at this! They look like they are right out of a magazine!! Just too beautiful for words!!!
Idyllic...ethereal...absolutely lovely. It was 70 degrees here today, but I'm going to go have a cup of chocolate right now anyway. Thank you for sharing your beautiful, romantic design. Cherry Kay
