A Fireside Dinner

  Hello everyone,
As some of you know I have been making some small changes in our library/dining room lately. I still have to do a little work on the book cases but it is pretty much the way I want it otherwise. Anyway, I was looking forward to a little romantic dinner by the fireside so a few nights ago I got my wish.
I lit the candles in the chandelier and a few on the mantle. Then with a fire going in the fireplace (wood) we enjoyed our dinner.

Remember I like to peek in windows(doors). It looks cozy with candlelight and a fire burning don't you think!

I used my toile dishes again.

and the handmade lace tablecloth.

After dinner it was so relaxing to sit by the fireside for awhile with a cup of tea after a busy day.

I am joining in with Susan again for Tablescape Thursday over at Between Naps on the Porch. Thank you Susan for hosting this popular event.

Today, I started decorating for Christmas. . If you would like to see it I posted photos on my Christmas Past & Present blog.

Thank you for visiting me,

Carolyn

What a sight that all is Carolyn. I know I keep saying this, but it looks like it came straight out of the pages of Victoria!!!

Have you ever made a book from your blog? I just got my first year back and I love it. It is so nice to sit and thumb through the pages rather than mouse through it.lol! Your blog is so amazing and would be wonderful in book form.
hugs to you...

Carolyn, this is simply the coziest setting. My two favorite ways to dine ~ alfresco and fireside. And I've seen you do both with exquisite style.
Happy Thanksgiving! ~ Sarah

So lovely! I enjoy a dinner by the fire too. It must have been hard to get up from the table. I had to smile at your "looking in" photo. I love taking those too. It almost makes you feel like you are looking at your home for the first time.
