Hello everyone,
I hope you are not getting tired with my cottage settings because I wanted to share my tablescape with you today.
I love the color of these dishes and ordinarily I might think summer but I think they also give a crisp wintery look to the cottage as well.
Ture to form these dishes were also a thrift shop find last year. They are a pretty aqua color but if you look closely they have a white design embossed on them.
I know some of you have seen this but some have not so I wanted to show the setting for our lunch today. It will have to be hot soup because it is a typical Remembrance Day here- cold and windy. We were pleased to have a good turn out at the service in town as we need to remember all our brave soldiers. We are thinking particularly of our Dads today(both my Dad & Andrews were over sea's in the Second World War). But, I also think of my Mom who lived in an occupied country(Holland) and lost her younger brother plus lived in fear for many years with food shortages and little heat in the winter. I think there are many things we take for granted when we live in a wonderful free country like Canada!
Well, now that is it for me but if you go to Between Naps on the Porch you will see all kinds of beautiful tablescapes that keep me ever so humble! Thank you Susan for hosting this big event every week.
Thank you for visiting me today,
Carolyn

Love that table setting. You have such a great eye for a romantic setting Carolyn. Aqua and pink is pretty, but aqua and white and lace is divine!
I love it! It's gorgeous!! Those aqua dishes are sooo pretty! The pictures reveal your talent in every way! Angie xo
We have had soup for our supper as it is very cold, wet and windy here for our Remembrance Day.
Your cottage is a delight.

Aqua and white are pretty together, especially in your little cottage.
I'm enjoying your Christmas blog, so many ideas as I do not come by it naturally to be creative on my own.
I'm just back from the William Ashley once a year warehouse sale - wow, could have spent a fortune.

Carolyn, I have never seen aqua and white transferware. Didn't know such a beauty existed. Almost makes me think of snowflakes. That's a laugh since I am in sunny Georgia, USA where it is 75 degrees today and only snows once every twenty years or so. And then not enough for a snowman. Simply pretty!
I could never get tired of seeing that tablescape...it all matches so perfectly with beautiful colours. It makes me want to go hunting in the opp shops for some pretty china to start a nice collection of my own.
Who would ever tire of seeing such beautiful things? Your cottage is a place for return visits for sure.
SO cozy and love the lone candle in the cup. Nothing like candle light to soothe us.

Beautiful color of blue, it would lend itself to any season. You always inspire my with your pictures.
The cool blue of your dishes reminds me of the cool blue of snow in bright sunlight. Wonderful spot for a lovely rest. We are grateful for the service of our fathers and the misery that the people of Holland had to endure during the war.
Dear Carolyn...How could I EVER tire of your beautiful settings? The answer is Never, Never, Never. Today's is soooo lovely. Everything about it and every detail is "love-er-ly." Great job! Susan
oh my...i do believe that is the prettiest shade of blue.........
