Showing off our Cottage

Hello everyone,

I just remembered that it is Show off your Cottage Monday at Cielo's lovely House in the Roses so I wanted to join in the fun.

As some of you know this is our little garden cottage.

Leading up to the door.

But first, the little enclosed garden of the French doors at the south end of the cottage. This was taken earlier in the season.

This is what it looks like now. I love how the clematis has grown.

Sorry wrong order here-we are back in June again.

While we are here let's peek inside -the doors are open but there is a big screen on to keep out unwanted visitors.

This year I went with a white theme -seeing so many lovely white cottages on other pretty blogs.

Had to have some toile touches though. The chair slipcover came from a thrift shop. All the furnishings and linens ,china etc. came from yard sales, thrift shops or was given to me.

The cottage is so romantic at night with fairy lights and candles.

This was last years slightly different look.

This little cottage has hosted some little tea parties.

Tea parties for garden fairies.

Tea parties for three of our grandchildren-all born the same year and great little playmates.

A spring tea.

At Christmas time I decorated the cottage for a Christmas house tour as a little bonus.

You might notice the mantle has had a makeover since then.

And back to the little ones tea party. Some of you have seen some of these photos before but I thought you might enjoy seeing them all in one post for Show off your Cottage monday- thank you Cielo for hosting. Check out the other "Show Offs" if you haven't alreay!

Thank you for visiting our little garden cottage,

Take care,

Carolyn

Hello Carolyn
My granddaughters (even the 13 yr old twins) would just love to be in your little cottage for tea.
You enquired about Ammi/Laceflower from my post - an annual that reseeds nicely and is more delicate looking than QA lace.
My initial seeds came from William Dam here in Ontario but I don't mind saving you some if you want. I know how beautiful Ammi would look in your gardens.

Hi Carolyn,

My last comment and your new post must have crosses. I always enjoy looking at the photos of your garden house very much. I like your 'all white' theme! It's the perfect setting for a tea! It must be a joy to sleep there too, with the doors wide open and the birdsong early in the morning!

Lieve groet, Madelief

Dearest Carolyn,

That is like a REAL fairytale, not just a tea for fairies! What a lovely, dreamy and very romantic cottage you got. Is it in your garden and does it have some running water and electricity too?

Sunny greetings from Georgia

Now this is how I imagine my little studio to look. Unfortunately the studio is right on the road way and security is a big issue. I can still dream!

This cottage deserves a spread in Victoria magazine!! Gorgerous.
