Tea time

Hello everyone,

Come and join me for lunch on the veranda. I am using some of my blue and white china today.

I love this soup tureen and the old pitcher.

We have had a lot of rain lately but we can enjoy our lunch on the screened veranda.

Love all the lilacs in bloom now.

I love this tablecloth that came from a thrift shop in England.

Hope you don't mind having lunch along with your tea today. I am serving lunch for eight at 1:00 so I am off to prepare but you can enjoy another cup of tea if you like.

Today, I am joining in with Sandi for Teatime Tuesday at Rose Chintz Cottage Inspirations again so I hope you have time for some lovely teas over there.

Thank you for visiting,
&

Enjoy your day,

Carolyn

Hi Carolyn

I would love to join you but am a bit stressed as we had a leaking roof during the night after heavy rain and we had a big water bubble in the ceiling. I now have the roofer here repairing it outside, but not sure what we will have to do to the dining room ceiling. ( We live in a bungalow which is why the roof is above the dining room)

Have a lovely lunch party, it is 1pm here but I know your time is behind us so I am sure you are busy with all the preparations. Enjoy, Jackie in UK.

Good morning, Carolyn,
Your blue and white tea is gorgeous! I love the tablecloth, too. You put things together so nicely. Your lilacs are so lovely, mine did not bloom this year, not sure why. I read that you need to talk to lilac bushes, so I did...at the risk of looking a bit crazy! Hopefully they get the message and bloom in profusion next year. 8)
Hugs, Cindy S

I just bumped into your blog this mroning and what a lovely feast for the eyes it is! Your things are gorgeous, your gardens heavenly. I would love to visit...but so far away from Missouri.

Blue and white dishes are my favorites, Blue Willow esp. Some of us here were posting our tea cups collections last month, look here if you would be interested in a mix of pots and cups sitting around the house. http://claudiapage-bookie.blogspot.com/2010/05/blogging-with-tea-cups.html

Enjoy your luncheon....

Carolyn, Love the blue tablecloth and your blue and white china. Your table looks so pretty! Pretty lilacs too - ours have been gone for several weeks now; I hear there is a new re-blooming lilac - how wonderful that would be!
Blessings, Beth

Such pretty china Carolyn. And beautiful lilacs - I love their fragrance! Glad to hear that the rain held off for your tour on Sat. It sure poured afterwards. I'm looking forward to the sunny days forecast for the weekend - let's hope they're right!

Oh Carolyn, your blue china is beautiful! I LOVE all the lilacs too!.. The gray skies here seem to threaten rain all day today, but the cool temps are a gift from God, for those of us who love to bake! Enjoy your luncheon, and have a wonderful week! ~tina

I love all your blue and white dishes! I have a weakness for blue willow dishes, my mom had a few and I used to stare at all the details in it and wonder about the story in the picture. The blue tablecloth is perfect with it.

Last night I was in the yard - I loked over and my lilacs were all gone - I almost cried! How quickly that went but seeing yours here is delightful!
