Hello everyone,
This is lupin season here on the Island and I love how pretty they look growing wild along the roadsides.
These lupins are growing along the ditch on the little country road by our house that we walk everyday.
Actually, we helped these lupins along by spreading seeds a few years ago as we walked along the road.
Although purple is the dominate color,we do have a pretty good mix.
You can see the road is not paved and has little traffic so I enjoy the peaceful beauty of our walks.
I love this bi color mauve one
I hope you enjoyed the stroll down lupin lane with me this bright and beautiful sunny morning. We are off for a lovely breakfast with good friends at one of our favorite summer places. Have a wonderful day,
Carolyn

There's nothing prettier than a field of wild flowers! Thanks so much for sharing glimpses of your magical surroundings!
Abby:)
I did enjoy the stroll along the road looking at the lupins. Thanks you for taking us and have a wonderful breakfast.
Dear Carolyn,
What a good idea to spread the seeds! It must be a joy to walk along Lupin lane. Thank you for taking us along. The colours of the lupins are beautiful. We have them in our garden as well, but not in that soft pale pastel colour. It's very pretty!
Have a nice day!
Lieve groet, Madelief
Those lupins are very pretty. What a wonderful place to walk and enjoy them. I'll have to see if they grow in my planting zone.
Especially today, I wish I was on your Island.
You must have the magic in your hands to spread the seeds and have them grow and spread so beautifully! What a delightful walk that must be. Thanks so much for sharing. ♥♫
How magnificent. Lupin Lane looks like a blissful place.

Amid all my packing and blogging in prepartion for my PAris trip I stop by your blog to get a sense of beauty and calm. A respite from the days madness. Today's lupin lane post is wonderful and refreshing. Merci

Hello Dear Carolyn,
Your blog, writing & photographs, are like those found in a favorite magazine. It is always such a joy to visit you!
The lupins are gorgeous - such beautiful colors!
I hope you have a lovely day,
Zuzu
What a great place to walk, so peaceful and quiet, I'm sure. And the view of the lupins are second to none, what gorgeous flowers they are.
Hugs, Cindy S
Hi Carolyn. it would be so wonderful to take a walk and see all those beautiful flowers....Kathy
You have made a beautiful lane for your walks. They are gorgeous flowers.
Sandy
Wow! I'm so impressed that they grow wild. We're lucky to have them in the gardens here.
Just beautiful!
I love how mother nature paints a picture for us. Lovely.........XO MARY
Hi Carolyn, I love lupins. How wonderful to have them growing from seed in wild places. I wonder if I could try that in my garden here in England. Could you tell me the variety of the seed and I will try and acquire some, I'd love to give it a go. Eli.
Amazingly beautiful! I love lupins to pieces, and I used to have wonderful purple ones in my garden! Unfortunately, not a single one this year :((
Monicax.
How pretty.....
Every picture is even more prettier than the other one.....
Nice evening
Wow, what amazing and unique flowers! Thank you for the lovely post!
Oh, goodness, I've missed so many posts but I've been in heaven, immersing myself in catch up. I left a message on the post before this one but, now, I think that I'll just combine the rest into this one.
Carolyn, between you and Mia's Landliv, I've just had a very refreshing half hour!!! Lilacs happen to bloom in my very favorite color(s). The Picasa album, when it opened up, just made me gasp and my heart go pitter patter. Really! I love lilac and blue together - with subtle green, too. Your blue table is very noteworthy and the photos of the bouquets of lilacs on all of your tables are inspiring. Thanks for taking the time out to share all of this. It is encouraging and happy making!
Love, katy
I've never seen Lupin before, but I'm glad I have now! It's gorgeous!
I love, love, love lupines! The only place I've ever lived where they grew wild was OR. I so enjoyed them while there. I have lots of photos of them, and will have to post some now and again. Your photos are beautiful! ♥
Your Lupines remind me of my garden when we lived in Great Britain. Beautiful photos.

I just returned from my very first visit to Maine, and was just in awe of the fields and ditches of lupins. Absolutely stunning! It reminded me of one of my favorite children's book - Miss Rumphius - do you know it? You are just like Miss R, spreading beauty where ever you go. Thank you for sharing your pictures with all of us.
I will be posting pictures of our trip in the next few days - stop in to see beautiful Maine. We stayed in a room in a B and B that reminded me of your lovely home:-)
Gorgeous!!

Oh, Carolyn, those were enchanting. Have you read the fabulous childrens' book, "Miss Rumphius?" It's all about lupins and how she made the world a better place by planting hundreds of them! (But I think they were spelled lupines). You'd LOVE the book if you haven't read it! Susan
Carolyn......Those lupines are really extraordinary looking and how neat is that to be growing wild along the road! I have never seen anything like it!~Patti
Absolutely beautiful! I wish lupins would grow better here in Ontario. I'm your newest follower and look forward to more glimpses of life on PEI! :)
I love Lupins; beautiful! Enjoy this beautiful day.
Blessings,
Sandi
How lovely to have lupins growing wild, and I love the idea of 'Lupin Lane'. xx
