Pretty Blooms

Hi everyone,

The garden is starting to come into bloom now and with a few warm days it is amazing the difference it makes. Today was a perfect day for working in the garden and my roses, clematis and most of my hydrangea have been pruned, several beds have been weeded and edged with a few more to go.

The collage above is made from photos I took today in the sunroom.

These are new tulips that I bought last fall at Vesey's -they are yellow doubles. i think they are pretty already!

some of the early tulips are blooming now.

I like the different varieties of daffodils.

more tulips and muscari

hostas are coming along well

the early peonies are in bud.

pretty pansies

The magnolia is in bloom.

I am always happy to see the bees buzzing in the garden-this is redstart pulmonaria

Isn't this little Thalia dainty?

The ferns are growing in some shady areas.

Well, that is a few of the blooms in the garden that I took today- soon there will be a lot more to share as the beds fill in. When, we finish getting the beds done in the garden ,I am looking forward to setting up the veranda for the season and also our little garden cottage needs to be cleaned out and set up for summer-I will share photos of that later.

I am joining in with Cindy at My Romantic Home for Show and Tell Friday again. I know you will enjoy checking out all the beauty over there.

Thank you for visiting,

Carolyn

Oh, my, Carolyn, what a feast for the senses!! I'm quite amazed at everything that is blooming at once. Here it is more spread out, the magnolias are long before the tulips start, for example. I think you must have one of those magical gardens where everything blooms at once! – g

You sure have lots of lovely flowers in your garden. Can't believe the pions are that big already. Here we have such a cold weather nothing comes further it seems. The daffodils are still in bloom after standing there for more than 2 weeks. Wish we will get warmer (not freezing cold!) weather soon.
Hope you have a nice Friday.
Love Elzie

Hello Carolyn,

Lovely blooms. Nice for you to have warmer weather. We are not so fortunate, it is still pretty cold here altough the sun is shining and today it´s very windy. It is really an "upsidedown" weather for us.

Have a nice weekend,
Sanna

I am so jealous of all of your blooms. You are way ahead of us here in Winnipeg. Our hostas are about half that size. Your garden is truly gorgeous. This won't be the year we get out to PEI, but one day, we will. It has been my dream for many years, it will come true Hugs, Cindy S

Isn't it exciting when everything starts appearing? Every day in the garden is different now. Our garden was pretty bare of flowers until recently, and it's very pleasing that everything that now colours our garden was planted by me. Makes it even more exciting! xx
