Hello ! I am back from our trip to Charleston and we had a great time there. The city is so beautiful with amazing gardens tucked in around all the beautiful homes in the historic district.
We walked around the town each day and I was totally wowed! There is so much to see and enjoy there.
There are over one hundred beautiful churches in Charleston!
The architecture is amazing!
Aren't they beautiful?
We enjoyed a horse and carriage ride and got the history of the buildings as we passed.
There were such beautiful flowering shrubs etc. everywhere.
Love all the wisteria blooming everywhere.
Beautiful porches on most all the homes.
I went on the annual house and garden tour on Saturday and got to see in five beautiful historic homes and seven gardens. The above garden was enclosed with high brick walls and I felt like I had just stepped into The Secret Garden(movie). Everyday was sunny and perfect temperature-I look forward to going back again sometime. I took over 1000 pictures so I will have to share a few more of my favorites with you in a couple of days. I am also looking forward to catching up with you all as soon as I can.We were at the airport at 3 a.m. this morning so I am off for a nice hot bath and then my own little bed!
Have a good night,
Carolyn

ReplyDeleteHi Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteCharleston is one of my favorites places. Bluegreen has a timeshare there and I have enjoyed it with my friends and hubby. We walked enough to drop 5 lbs. even eating friend green tomatoes and BBQ shrimp and grits. Your pictures are amazing. You have such an eye. I took lots of pictures of the doors on the houses. Weren't they amazing. And I loaded up my camera cards too. Everything there is wonderful. Glad you had a good time.
Hugs
Becky
