I love this lamp which also came from Homesense
This is what the room looked like at Christmas
My Dad gave me this old clock years ago.
My computer would not let me send the pictures the way I usully do so I had to send them through blog this in two batches.
We do have a carpenter coming in to build some bookcases for the other side of the room and a few other changes as well that I will share when they are done.
So, this is what we have done so far and I am happy with the new look so far.
Today, I am joining Cindy again at
My Romantic Home for Show and Tell Friday. Thank you Cindy for hosting.
Enjoy your weekend,
Carolyn
The fireplace is definitely better in white. So fresh. Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteI love the changes. I could definitely hang out in your living room.
ReplyDeleteEverything loks so pretty, Caroline!
ReplyDeleteI REALLY like your new looking fireplace. I need to try that with the massive fireplace that dominates my living room. It's 7 feet across and goes from the floor to the ceiling! Does it take a lot of paint to cover the brick?
ReplyDeleteHi Marilyn,
ReplyDeleteNo,it didn't take a lot of paint but I think the trick is to use a good primer.
Thanks for visiting,
Carolyn
Your changes are beautiful Carolyn, looking forward to seeing more..such a warm and cozy room.

Oh Carolyn, huge difference! The white fireplace brightens everything up. And I love the painting of the mother and baby bassinet! Lovely! Good job! Sincerely, Susan
ReplyDeleteThat looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteAm intrigued how close the fireplace is to that window. xx
