Now that halloween is over I am starting to dream of Christmas . I know it seems early when I think back to my childhood and we used to put our tree up a day or two before Christmas and shopping and baking were mainly done the week before as well. However, times have changed and I do love to decorate for Christmas and I love the coziness of being snug and warm inside with the glow of candles or fairy lights etc. It is something I look forward to as soon as the garden cleanup is done. I know I am not alone in this because I have been visiting some of you who are also dreaming of Christmas. As some of you have noticed my pictures have disappeared from my blog(I still am not sure why) from June to the start of my blog a year or more earlier. So today I am sharing some of my photos from last year at Christmas.
This is our bedroom at Christmas- the last few years we were on a Christmas house tour for a good cause.
I made the stocking from ends of fabric.
This is the end of my daydreaming for today.
This is the reality- we had to dig a new well and are getting a new pump put in today. As my mother would say 'there is always something to keep the rabbits tail short'!
It was cold last night -2 degrees Celsius.
frost and ice in the birdbath.
I wanted something to cover the bare wall over the veranda so I thought maybe these stars would do the trick. I had the large outline of a star on our barn so I asked my husband to cut out a wooden star the same size from scrapes in our barn (I know we save everything for a reason and not just because we have a barn)he he! I am happy with it-good job Andrew.
Speaking of Andrew he is patiently waiting for me so we can go for our morning walk so I am off to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine and of course the company of the worlds sweetest man!
Hope you have a good day,
Carolyn

Hello Carolyn...
My friend, I sooo enjoyed the tour of your beautiful Christmas decor in that fabulous bedroom of yours! Ohhh...I'm telling you...I could just shut myself up in this room...never to come out and be perfectly happy! You did say..."dreaming of..." didn't you? Hehe! Everything is just gorgeous! I love how you did that pine garland at the ceiling around your bed...sooo very pretty, my friend! Love your fireplace and you decorated the mantle so beautifully! Your bedroom truly is a Christmas Wonderland! Thank you so much for sharing it with us today!!!
Carolyn...what is going on with your photos? I didn't take a look back but you said that they are gone from your blog? That's just terrible...your photos are all too fabulous to have gone missing!!! Was wondering if you have tried contacting Blogger? Maybe they have some answers! You know...I upload all my photos to Photobucket...I always have to reduce their size or it just takes too long to upload them to my posts. For the last few months I have just been using the html from Photobucket and I ended up losing all those photos...because I ran out of storage in my photobucket acct. they just cut me off! I ended up paying to have my storage enlarged and then all my photos showed up again! Kind of makes me mad...but I sure didn't want to have to go back and try to manually download that many posts! I don't know if something like that could be your problem or not? Just thought I would mention it!
Well my friend...I'll talk with you later! I too am getting excited about Christmas...it's just around the corner, isn't it!
Chari
Beautiful pictures so soft and magical. I love the pictures of the frost on the flowers even though it makes me sad in a way. I love your mother's saying, I've never heard it before, but oh, so true!
Wonderful Carolyn, your home should be in magazines, better than many pictures I have seen in them.
I did notice your older pictures were erased but I thought it was you who took them off for more space in your blog...(??)
We also have wells here were I live, we have to provide ourselves with water.
Muchos Cariños

Hi Carolyn
Your bedroom is so elegant , warm and comforting and the Christmas decor just makes it look even more beautiful.
Hugs, Rhondi
Yesterday a neighbor was over and I was showing her your lovely blog. She was quite impressed! Those shiny floors in your rooms are so gorgeous. Of course your whole house and gardens are spectacular, Carolyn!
Brenda
I'm dreaming of Christmas too! Your Christmas photos are so pretty and they really put me in the mood to start decorating! As soon as our Thanksgiving is over I'm bringing all the Christmas decor out!
I've been having blog issues too, not with my photos but with my blog not loading for some people. Someone told me it may be my slideshow (guestbook)I had at the bottom of my blog so I deleted that and now it works fine. I'm not sure if it may be your slide show but it's worth a try. When I was on blogger help I saw other people saying their photos have disappeared so you may want to check there. If you go to your blogger dashboard you will see "help" on up in the right corner. Let me know if I can help in with anything!
Thank you Cindy and Chari for your help-I will look into those suggestions.
Thank you everyone for the lovely comments.
Carolyn
Oh my goodness! What a beautiful Christmas bedroom. Looks so warm and cozy I would like to move right in! It´s glowing and feels so welcoming to me.
I love stars and yours look so pretty up there. Good work!
Yes, it´s cold here too. Yesterday we had our first snow but it won´t last. Unfortunately we have had less snow every year and seldom to Christmas.
Have a nice day,

Gorgeous Christmas photos! No wonder you dream of Christmas with such memories of it! Actually, I do too and it does happen as soon as Halloween is over. We Canadians dont have to think about Thanksgiving either so it is full steam ahead for us and our decorating dreams!

Stars look good how lucky you are to have such a patient man I hope you enjoyed your walk
Such a stunning bedroom! I love fireplaces in a bedroom, they always add a coziness to it.
Did your well run dry? We were worried about ours during the 4-5 year drought.
Isn't it nice to have a barn to store things?! Your husband did a wonderful job on the stars.
Take Care!

Hi Carolyn,
I just found your beautiful blog. I'm so excited about looking around some more. Your bedroom at Christmas is breathtaking. So romantic. I love it. I'm dreaming of Christmas too. It is my favorite holiday and time of the year. We usaully start decorating the Saturday right after Thanksgiving...I cannot wait. It was very nice meeting you. I will be back again for sure. Have a wonderful day.
Blessings and a smile,
♥Ana
You did a wonderful job decorating your bedroom. Do you do the whole house also? My Mother and I go on home tours decorated for Christmas, each year. The proceeds go the local Christian school. It is so much fun.
It is sad that your pics are disappearing. I wanted to see your pantry pics and they were all gone. I hope that you can be able to retrieve them.
Katherine
WOW.. you and me both. I did a jig on Sunday knowing that hubs needs to dig out the boxes and trees soon. Thanksgiving will be early here this year so why not!
Great photos and yes your momma was right, a rabbits tail never grows long indeed.
