It is a beautiful sunny Saturday here on the Island. We have been getting warmer sunnier weather here then we usually get here in November but October was wetter and cooler then usual. Today,I am going to plant the last of my bulbs and next week the roses will be covered and then we set for winter.
Today,I don't really have anything new to post but I thought you might like to see some of my favorite dish photos.
There is lots going on here on the Island if you like Christmas craft fairs etc. I am off to check out one or two so I will see you next week I hope. Hm,I wonder if they have any dishes!
Have a good weekend,
Carolyn

Hi Carolyn
Would you like to send some of that sunshine over here to the UK? We have had severe wind and rain during the night and in some places like Sussex and Dorset there is a risk of flooding!!
I love seeing all your beautiful china, thank you for sharing,
Have a good weekend. Jackie.
I love your dish pictures! One cannot have too many!
Carol
Exquisite. Have a nice weekend.
Hi Carolyn, your collection of china and transferware are amazingly beautiful, the pictures are wonderful and the arrangements lovely... hope you find some new dishes in the fairs... never enough, right??
Muchos cariños

Carolyn,
Love the photographs of your beautiful china. Collecting these beautiful pieces is wonderful. Have fun preparing for Christmas. Here in Holland we first celebrate "Sinterklaas" a typical Dutch/Belgian tradition. Have you ever heard of it?
Greetings from Holland
Lots of O-o-o-o's and Ah-h-h-h's from my house!! So delightful to look at! I just love pretty dishes, sigh...wish I had more space to have them...is it my imagination or do pretty dishes make food taste better?? Thanks for sharing and stay warm and cozy this weekend! xoxo...V
P.S. Sometimes you don't need something 'new' to post...sharing things that are 'old and loved and used daily' are just as refreshing to us who haven't seen them before is just as much fun ~ and makes them more cherished to you! Thanks again...V
Hi Carolyn,
I wish I had such beautiful china as you have. The difficulty for me is that I can't store it anymore. When I buy something, something else has got to go. I have already put some boxes in the loft. I wanted to sell it on internet or give it so someone who appreciated it, but my girls wouldn't let me. I now keep it stored for them. What a coincidence you bought some soft blue plates and bowls! I look forward to seeing it in your photos. Today I went shoppping with a friend of mine. I bought some scilles companilees bulbs (forst hyacints) for in the garden. They were very cheap. Probably because it is a bit late to plant them now, but I will just wait and see. Whit a bit of luck we will have some beautiful pastel coloured flowers in the spring :) I hope the weather will stay fine during the weekend! Enjoy your sunday!
Lieve groet,
Madelief
Let's see...which would be my favorite? I love any delft, since I'm part Dutch, and always the red and white transferware I love ...but anything blue and white, and just white ... pink is so feminine and pretty...I guess I just love dishes, as you do! Dishes are definitely art-- on a plate or in a teacup.
You have a beautiful collection, where or where do you store all of these? Just kiddiing, if I had that many beautiful pieces I would find a place even in my little home!
Such inspiration here!
Gorgeous dishes!!!
Hugs

Carolyn.....I am so envious of your wonderful collection of china!~Patti
Your collection of transferware is so beautiful, especially the green! What do you do with your extensive collection on a daily basis; china cupboard, shelves, tables or pack it away?
You have some beautiful china. I particularly liked the blue (with the heart sandwiches) and the cream just after. Lovely photos. Glad you're having good weather. We're having lashings of rain and very strong winds at the moment in the UK. xx
Hi Mimi,
I have my red and white china on display in cupboards with glass doors.the rest of my dishes are in various cabinets or little displays around the house. Some day soon I will do a post on that.
Thanks for visiting,
Carolyn
Those are all so beautiful! I really love the blue set, I think it's the 9th and 10th pictures. Do you know the name of that pattern? I think I have some bone dishes that are really similar.
You have a very relaxing blog, I searched through a few older ones. I love those red transfer dishes and may have to start a collection even is red isn't my fav color I love those. On the west Coast we have very wet rainy weather this week-end.
Enjoy the day.
Carolyn what a wonderful charming collection of tea cups...how much fun would it be to be a guest in your garden sipping tea! One never knows..I am planning a trip your way in 2 yrs..Dreams do come true!!
Hi Naturegirl,
I hope ALL your dreams do come true.It would be lovely to sip tea in the garden with you.
