It is Friday already and I realized that this is show and tell day at My Romantic Home so I hope I am not too late to join in. Today I am sharing my collection of soup tureens. This first one I bought at tjmaxx on a trip to Maine a few years ago.
This pretty blue and white one is old and I bought it at an auction sale last year.I have a collection of blue and white transferware so this fits in well.
Now this one I found at my favorite antique shop and it was cheap so how could I leave it behind.
This one some of you have seen before and I took it back from England in my carry on bag.
I love red and white transferware and this came from a local thrift shop.
I know this is more of a vegetable bowl but I have used it as a soup tureen before I bought all the other soup tureens I really needed! Thank you Cindy at My Romantic Home for hosting this event.
Thank you for visiting me,
Have a great weekend,
Carolyn

I think you must have been reading my mind, I have just been obsessed about a soup tureen ever since I saw the beautiful one susan from the porch has, yours are just incredible, I just loooove them all
OH, Carolyn, your tureens are all so pretty! I think I've picked a favorite and then you show another one! I guess I just love them all!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Wow; these are so beautiful. You should do what the blogger who has the blog "Color between the lines" does. He had a party in which the participants bring soup. He used his tureens (his were all alike) and served the soups in teacups. Soup tureens are so homey!

Oh ps. tell your daughter that the Martha Stewart gluten free cake recipe I have under the desserts is so fabulous that my husband likes it better than normal cakes.
OOOps the blog that had the tureen party was "color outside the lines", not between the lines ;-)!
I'm trying not to envy! Beautiful...
I love your collection of tureens. I love transferware, so I especially enjoyed your post. Thanks for sharing.
Absolutely lovely.
Carolyn, you have presented such nice arrangements for your post.
I always enjoy visiting your place.
Sweet Blesslings to you,
d
I love them all...souptureens always make me happy, they make me think about familymeals, joining together with a bowl of soup and taking time to listen while the soup is still too hot to eat....
The first one is my favorite. How nice to have so many choice!
Have a nice weekend Carolyn! I hope you can enjoy sitting in between of the fire again.

Wow! They are all so beautiful!
I just love the curviness of them. What pretty colors you have.
I have just one that I recieved for my wedding gift. It's cream and it has leaves on it. It's my favorite thing I got for my wedding.
Other then my husband;)
I just recently got my first soup tureen. Probably never use it for soup. I bought it for the colors and the fact that it was another chicken to display! Yours are very pretty. And I bet you use yours!

Those soup tureens are all beautiful, but the red transferware is to die for!
Can you tell me the pattern name of the green/white transferware in your September 29th entry? That has to be one of the prettiest I have EVER seen.
Ohh Carolyn, wherever to you keep them all? I love blue and white, but my favorite is the red one!
Enjoy!

Carolyn,
I just love your soup tureens!! I was blessed enough to find an old ironstone tureen at an antique store for $5.00...your collection is just gorgeous! Thanks for inspiring me to get mine out and make a pot of soup this weekend! Beautiful post as always! Miss Bloomers
I love all your soup tureens, but especially the transfer ware in red.
Hope you use these beautiful pieces and enjoy them!
What beautiful tureens! New ones seem to be hard to find. I think people don't eat soup so much today. But the antique ones are so lovely and can't you just imagine the lovely dinner with the elegant soup taking center stage back when life was a bit slower?
Yours are all so pretty ~ a special collection! Thank you for sharing!

Hi Carolyn,
Your tureens are very pretty. They must take up quite some space in your house. Unfortunately I can only store two :(

Lovely post!!!
What a wonderful collection of soup tureens! They are such a great thing to collect. I've stopped buying more because I'm running out of room! It's so hard to pass them up though!
