In the Pink!

Today I am in the pink so I have a few pink images to share with you.
There are still a few late roses blooming in the garden.
This Mary Rose preforms well in my garden. It is a David Austen rose that is hardy for our zone 5b garden.
roses and teacups- what could be prettier!

It has been raining here for the past 24 hours so I have been enjoying some family time and this morning some baking, cooking and cleaning. It is nice to be snug and cozy in the house today. There will soon be some heavy duty gardening chores to get done outside as we get the garden ready for winter but not just yet. I hope to squeeze another week or two of enjoyment from the garden before we get that killing frost that will mean it is time to cut down the old foliage and haul it to the compost and cover the roses for winter.
I hope this post finds you are 'in the pink' also.
Thank you for visiting ,
Take care,
Carolyn

Hi Carolyn,

You have some lovely pinks. The pink David Austin rose is beautiful. Does it smell too? His roses often do. Today my middle daughter of seventeen went on a school trip of ten days to Italy. She is going to Venice and Rome in Italy. My youngest daughter and I waved her out. We will miss her very much. The temperatures in Italy are still fine. Lucky girl!In Holland it is rainy as well at the moment.

Have a lovely day! groetjes Madelief

That rose is so beautiful! Luckily we don't have to cover our roses for the winter here. Mine would probably die from neglect! haha!

Your Mary rose is beautiful. I'm glad you are still enjoying that gorgeous garden of yours. Yes, soon the hard work begins in the Fall garden. I'll be toiling away with you.
We got 4" of snow last night and this morning already. It will melt off soon and then the work begins for me.
Hugs,
June

What a lovely pink rose. Austin Roses don't much like our climate so I will have to enjoy yours. It looks wonderful.

Such beautiful pinks Carolyn - I'll keep Mary Rose in mind - I'd like to add some roses next year.

You would have laughed to see me straining to read the book - and it was Anne - of course - but which one - I'm not sure. Anne of Avonlea I think.

Your rose is so lovely. I love David Austin roses. So do my deer.LOL Yes it is time to put the garden to bed. We have had beautiful sunny fall days but they say we could be down to 36 degrees in the morning. Hate to see the cold weather coming. Sharon

What a beautiful refreshingly pink post, Carolyn. I loved every single photo. Isn't it amazing when the weather turns cold and there are still a few roses blooming. I haven't gone out into the garden, as yet, to check out my roses since I got back...too busy unpacking, doing laundry and babysitting my grandgirlies!
