A Fireside Tea

It is a lovely day to curl up by the fireplace and have a cup of tea. These days there is a little nip in the air so it is nice and cozy indoors.

I made some pumpkin cream cheese muffins with caramelized pecans.

I forgot to sprinkle the tops with brown sugar and cinnamon-oh well next time.

The fireplace is going and the tea is ready

Oh! It does feel good to sit down with a cup of tea!

I hope you don't think I am lazy because I think I will sit for awhile longer and enjoy my book!

Oh! It is lovely to put my feet up by the fire and just relax.

What about you - have you had some time to just relax for awhile?

It would be of much help to hear your experiences about Autism...

Everything is so overwhelming right now...the hardest thing is her lack of words...
She has so much that she want to say and she tries so hard to make us understand....

Iám glad to hear that your grandson is doing well.

I almost forgot, so lovely pictures you share with us today!

Have a nice weekend,

Morning, Carolyn! Oh, you just keep your tiny feet up and enjoy your tea and book! You deserve it after all the working in your beautiful garden all summer long. :)
It's so nice to see you and more of your home! Hope to see more of it during the cooler weather.

How could anyone ever think you are lazy? Those gardens of yours have shown us over and over your hard work and care. So sit often and relax by the fire my friend as I know that most likely in your mind you are thinking of what to do next with your gardens or pictures for your blog of which we all have grown to love!

Hi Carolyn,

I enjoyed looking at your last two posts. I am sorry I did not leave a comment earlier, but I have been on a two day course for my work and just came home. Your pumpkin cranberry loaf and the muffins with pumpkin and pecan look delicious! Do you perhaps have the recipes for us? You look very comfy on the chair with the book on your lap about England! You could have been me!!! I also enjoy reading about everything English. It is nice to see you on the picture as well. You look so young! I thought you would be older because your children are all over twenty....You look very romantic in the picture. On my blog you wrote that your mother never spoke Dutch with you. Didn't she sing to you in Dutch when you were younger? My mother is from the south of our country where they speak in dialect. I could never speak it myself but I did understand every word. Do you understand some Dutch words too?

Have a wonderful weekend!

Lieve groet, Madelief

Tea, cake, fire, feet up good book all such comforting things. It is good to spoil ourselves now and then such a treat that we often forget to do.

Yes, Carolyn, Fall seems to be extra chilly this year so far; feels more like November. It is a good day to curl up by the fire which is what I've been doing lately. We have ours going every day now. Your room looks so cozy and I love the little sheep on your window sill! Have a wonderful weekend and stay cozy.

Blessings,
Sandi

Hi Carolyn, I love the photos of the inside of your lovely home. I have been relaxing more than usual this week, I have a yucky cold and don't feel up to doing much. Thanks for the virtual tea by the fire, it was truly lovely! Hugs, Cindy S.
