A few evenings ago we went for a drive to the south shore so we could enjoy a nice walk along the beach.
This lovelylittle church was peeking through the trees.
The south shore has red cliffs while the north shore has light sand dunes.
It was so peaceful there.
The lighthouse looks so pretty in the evening sun.
The lighthouse at Fort Amherst-it is not inhabited now so I peeked in the windows. There was a children's toile wallpaper in one room making me imagine what life was like for the family who lived there.
The sun is setting as we drive home.
So that was our evening at the beach!
A few people asked to see pictures inside and so I will post a few kitchen pics for those who haven't seen it as as my old pictures seem to have disappeared from my blog.Thank you to all who gave advise on the problem-I will let you know when I solve the mystery.
I love dishes!
I have collected mainly tranferware and mostly red and white.
The bay window in our kitchen is a favorite spot for a cup of tea.I like displaying different teacups etc. here.
I love to have a pretty bouquet on the table.
So I hope you enjoyed your tour with me.
Take care,
Carolyn

Blessings this day.
Pleasant and peaceful walk on the beach. Glorious place to be.
Carolyn, I sure like your decorating style. Appreciate you sharing through pictures.
I will be wallpapering and painting the interior of our old stone house over the next two years. This year we're roofing and will be repairing a bedroom ceiling. This in between period grates on me, so I have to do alot of praying.

Carolyn,
Your photos of the beach are beautiful. My DH and I will be spending a week at the beach the week of Labor Day. When all the kidlets get back in school and the beach isn't so crowded. The beach is where I enjoy vacationing the most.
Your photos of your kitchen are beautiful also. I had never seen any photos of your kitchen and thoroughly enjoyed them. I love your style.
I have noticed pics being gone on other blogs but most often when placing a comment. The person making the comment, their signiture pic is not showing??? Yours being gone is quite a mystery. Hope you get it resolved soon.

The pictures of the beach are beautiful! Very different from the beaches in Holland which are very special as well. I love going there too to clear my mind. We went for a long walk on sunday when there was still mist coming from the sea.
Kind regards, Madelief
I spent most of my life living within a few miles of the Atlantic Ocean, and I find that I still need my time to enjoy the sun and waves. Your pictures capture the essence of beauty and purity.
Your kitchen is just the style I admire. Thank you for sharing. Red transferware is my favorite, too.
Oh yes! Loved your little tour! I collect red transferware too...I just love how it blends in and yet compliments my china with roses. Your kitchen is lovely and oh...the sunset pictures at the shore are so lovely!
