A Fireside Tea

                 Hello everyone,

It is another dull November day
here so it is a good day to have
               afternoon tea by the fireside.

I have been getting our home
decorating for the season.
I love how all the fairy lights
add sparkle and coziness.
It is starting to look like
Christmas around here.

Wrap up in a plaid/tartan throw if you
like while we enjoy our tea.

                                                                         Tea and scones.

The plates were a recent thrift
find and the teacups were a gift
from a friend. They are almost
                                                                      a perfect match.
         The lacy vintage hankie was
another gift from a friend this
week.

I hope you are snug and cozy
where ever you are today.

I am joining Between Naps on the Porch
for Tablescape Thursday.

Take care,
       Carolyn

I always love your decorating as it makes a house a home. Is that a real fireplace? The flames are so pretty and the silver tea set with cream and sugar is just like the one I have from my mother that she got as a wedding present. What a lovely and cozy setting..if I lived next door I would be over to see you! LOL!

Hi Sam I Am,
The fireplace is a propane gas fireplace that keeps us cozy and warm in winter with the flick of a switch! We have a wood fireplace in our library that I love to have going but it is much more labor intensive.

It would be lovely to have you pop in for tea!

Thanks for visiting,
Carolyn

The new teacups are lovely and are a good match. Getting a gift such as the lace hankie makes you know your friends know you well! The fireplace looks cozy. perfect for a cool, gray day.

A lovely spot to be cozy on this rainy damp afternoon. I guess we can be thankful it's not snow.

I think I might swoon with the coziness -- I'm absolutely overcome. You make winter something to look forward to, if it involves such warmth and beauty as in the scenes as you have shown here. Thanks for including us in your lovely teatime ritual! :-) -Beth
