A Different Look

Hello everyone,
It is a beautiful sunny but cooler day here today and so we are happy to have most of the outdoor chores done for the winter. Yesterday,I filled the window boxes with greenery for the season but I still have a few urns and planters to do as well as the arbors.I think we are getting some snow tomorrow so it is time to finish up.
Anyway,at the risk of boring you , I have a few more pics of the cottage with a little different look as my camera is broke so that is all the new pics I have. I am hoping for a big sale on cameras this weekend even though we live in Canada we can still take advantage of Black Friday sales via the internet.
On my marathon cottage decorating day this was one of the looks for the cottage.
As you probably know I love red and white toile so this quilt was meant for me!
The great thing about white is that you can easily change the look with a few accessories.

This toile chair cover came from the same thrift shop as the quilt.
Would you like to sit for awhile and do some knitting?
Or maybe lounge in bed with a cup of tea?
I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Take care,
Carolyn

You must know me because my thought with your first picture was "It would be a dream to sit back in that plush bed with a cup of tea and good book". It looks like such a soothing place to be!

Hi Carolyn!

You are so lucky to have found that toile quilt (did you find it at the Tole House) and that chair cover is a treasure!!! I don't know which look I love more - the taupe or the pinky reds. The angel wings at the foot of the bed are a heavenly touch...Lol I wish I could plop right into that huggable bedding!

I, like Jacqueline, hope that you find a great deal on a camera this weekend cause I know it must be like you are missing an appendage. Haha

Have fun trimming those gorgeous arbours!

Hugs,

P.S. I almost forgot to answer your question - yes, the Nov/Dec issue of Victoria mag is my favourite Christmas mag this season! YOU should be in it!!!!!

Hi Carolyn
I'll forgo the knitting for the bed lounging. I like the added touches, especially the feathered angel wings hanging from the bed.

It is all so beautiful and the red and white toile is perfect!

I have an old pair of ice skates that I bought at a garage sale a few years ago. I always hang them on an old Flexible Flyer sled on the front porch. Last week I got a white cable sweater at Goodwill for $.99 I am going to make a pillow and then I will use the sleeves to line the skates to look more like yours. I love them!

Hello Carolyn,
I am loving the red toile and you knew I would! Everything looks lovely. I like your lacy tree too. Hope you're all ready for the snow we're getting today! I imagine you're busy baking and decorating.

Blessings,
