An Inspiration from Victoria

Well friends, it is time for afternoon tea again and I took some inspiration from an old Victoria magazine.

As I was looking through some of my old Autumn issues I admired the hat this lovely lady was wearing and it reminded me(somewhat) of my old felt hat.

Such a pretty Autumn look.

Would you like to join me for tea on this warm sunny Autumn day?

I love this teacup.

I love old hats -don't you?

My daughter baked some yummy treats for us.

Have a seat and I will pour you a cup of chai tea!

I hope you are enjoying these beautiful Autumn days and if you come back tomorrow I will show you the beauty of the Autumn garden.

Today I am joining Kathy at A Delightsome Life for her Victoria-A Return to Loveliness Party- such a great idea, Kathy.

Also, I am joining in with Sandi again for her lovely TeaTime Tuesday at Rose Chintz Cottage.

Thank you for visiting me,

Carolyn

Oh yes, I'd love to join you for afternoon tea. What a pitty, that you don't live around the corner. You look very nice with this hat and this wonderful brooch! Oh and those cups are so beautiful!
The weather in Switzerland doesn't invite taking tea outside today but tomorrow it should get better.
Kind regards
Alex

Good afternoon Carolyn,
What a lovely and creative post you have! Love your hat! Yes, I'm a hat person too; love them! Your tea pot and teacup are stunning! Beautiful colours and patterns. My mother is very frail these days, thanks for asking. I hope your mother is on her way to full recovery! It would be nice for you, Heather, and me to get together for tea one of these days before the Winter sets in. Enjoy this lovely day and thank you for joining me.

Blessings,
Sandi

Just beautiful!!! Everything you post is just amazing. I would love to sit with you and have a cup of tea anytime. I have all my old Victoria magazines as well...now I will go looking thru some of them since you reminded me how beautiful they are. I love hats I just never wear them I buy them and decorate with them. Lovely post thank you for sharing. As my daughter grows older I look forward to many tea parties with lots of pretty hats.

Hi Carolyn
Some of us can wear hats well, and you are one of those fortunate people. Your green felt, along with the pretty tea table could be right out of Victoria.

Hi Carolyn! Oh, you look so lovely and just like a page from the magazine! Now if I can just peep under that hat brim I'll really be able to see your pretty face! :) You know you're a very sneaky little one. :)

Thank you for inviting me for tea ~ of the chai variety. but I must confess , my hat is not pretty like yours ~ would you perhaps have a little bouquet of delicate flowers to pop in the back ~ then I will feel proper and enjoy my tea and chat.

Dearest Carolyn,

Love the Victorian idea! Aside from the tea and all its pretties I was admiring your hand knitted bolero... Who mastered that one? Your Mom or are you into it yourself?
