Tole Treasures

Hello everyone,
I wanted to share a beautiful shop here on the Island with you today. It is called Tole and Treasures and it is east of Crapaud - about a 20 minute drive from Charlottetown. When I first started going there, the shop was in the house(above) but now it has grown, and it is in a large new shop adjacent to the house.

The shop is filled with so many antiques and treasures that it takes awhile to take everything in.

Notice the red and white toile on the bed- I couldn't go home without one of those pillows!

All that beautiful china!
The shop owner talking to my sister.
I love this garden bench!!!

and don't we all love chintz???

As you can see besides having beautiful antique furniture it is a haven for all dish lovers too! This beautiful shop is now open for the season and I am sure if you are on the Island you will enjoy a visit. As luck would have it -it is also near Victoria by the Sea another lovely place to go meander around or have afternoon tea.

I took these photos last summer during one of my visits-hope you enjoyed the little tour!

Have a good day,

Carolyn

Sneak Preview of a Beautiful New Book!

Hello,
Come right in, as I am excited to tell you about a beautiful new book that just arrived in the mail today. The book is from Norway, and it is Sanselig Sommer( Summer for all the Senses) by Franciska Munck-Johansen.

Grab a cup of tea and sit here in the sunroom and enjoy a peek through it.

But take a minute to enjoy the beauty of the flowers on the windowsill too!

I am enjoying going out to the garden and just helping myself to a pretty bouquet.

Isn't the cover beautiful-it is by Haken who hosts Show-off Saturday on my sidebar.

Now part of the reason I am so excited about this book, ---10 pages of my very own photos are featured in this beautiful book!!!

I have to admit I am pretty proud to see our garden  in a lovely book from Norway!

I love that two of our little granddaughters also are in the book and our little garden cottage is also featured.

Some of you may remember some of these photos from my blog.
I want to thank Franciska for including my photos in this beautiful hardcover, that will proudly sit on my coffee table for years to come! If you would like to see more about this book please visit Franciska and also if you would like to buy the book there is a list of places to order it from on her blog. I do know that my friend Ria has a few copies left at It's me if you would like to check on her sidebar. She is also having a lovely giveaway that you can enter while you are there!
.

Thank you so much for visiting me and listening to me brag a little!

I am joining in Show and Tell Friday at My Romantic Home today.

Take care,
Carolyn
