Beautiful Summer Days

Happy weekend!

How is your summer going?
We are having a hot dry summer
here......perfect for the beach .
We are enjoying  our beach
days  right here at our cottage.

Reading a book while laying in a
hammock with the waves lapping
on the shore is a perfect way to
spend a summer day.

I enjoy having my tea in
the garden here at Ocean Song.

I love to watch the sailboats
go by.

Warm moonlit evenings with the
light reflected on the water are the best!

And another sunny day starts
again!

I am sorry I haven't been posting lately
but I just haven't been able to tear myself
away from enjoying these beautiful sunny
summer days so my computer time has been
very limited.

We have been doing very well here with covid
and haven't had any cases for a few weeks now
and only about 30 in total. Restaurants, shops etc.
are open buts tourism is way down as we are only
open to other Atlantic provinces so far.

I hope you are doing well and enjoying beautiful
days.

Thank you for visiting and thank you to all
who left nice comments on my last post.

Take care,
Carolyn

  4. So idyllic! I hope you are thoroughly enjoying your summer. Such good news about the PEI covid cases. Here in Los Angeles we have over 200,000! But we are hanging in there. I have started a new habit, inspired by a post you did about your mother. After a hard morning of hot, dirty work at the school farm, I come home, take a nice shower and change my dirty jeans for a fresh dress. While I don't have any letters from Holland to enjoy, sometimes I get a treat and enjoy a new blog post of yours. Thanks for today's nice moment! Hope to see you and PEI someday soon.

  5. With Ocean Song summertime Covid/ Quarantine visits - makes it all just a whole lot better. It is idyllic and gorgeous. To wake on that beautiful bed and look out to the water. Sigh - just lovely.

That is the ONE thing I am having the most trouble with during this pandemic - the isolation. I haven't left the house since the end of February - which means I haven't been able to go to where I grew up - on a lake - at all this summer. Those of us whom grew up on water and are now stuck land-locked with no way of seeing it all summer. Whew. Just tough. I am terribly homesick.

Your beautiful pictures were heaven sent. Thank you for those pretty images.

    Stay safe, stay well.

  6. Dearest Carolyn,
That looks like a perfect summer in a beautiful surrounding.
We spent 3 nights at Hyatt Place Hilton Head/Savannah airport and enjoyed swimming and lazy times.
After we got home, UPS delivered our hardcover book. Finally holding the fruit of our labor into our hands.
Tomorrow the paperback will arrive... why not ship them out together? So we ordered the ones to send for the persons that kindly wrote the foreword, they too arrive tomorrow.
A mega task put behind us... We still can enjoy summer, even with a lot less 'freedom' but hoping that we soon will see better times!
    Hugs,
    Mariette
