Vintage China

     Happy Weekend!

It is Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada so
we are looking forward to our family coming
for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner on Monday.

Although it is raining here today we have had some
beautiful weather this week and the fall foliage colors
are probably at their peek right now.
I went on  a couple of beautiful country drives
this week with my camera so I hope to share some
fall photos soon.
Today though, I am sharing a few new to me
vintage china teacups that I bought at the
70 mile coastal yardsale.

It seems teacups are hard for me to resist
especially when they are just a few dollars
at yard sales or thrift stores.

I really like the colors of this one.
The vintage tea tin was also a find.

Do you collect vintage china as well?

So now it is time for a cup of tea and some oatmeal scones
~ you can pick your favorite vintage tea cup.

Blessings to my Canadian friends this Thanksgiving
weekend and  I hope to be back soon with my
fall road trip photos.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Carolyn

  6. I very like to drink tea and such teacups are too small for me. But my husband likes to drink coffee in such teacups. Do I collect teacups from China? No. But they are very beautiful. I wish you a sunny day and thank you for your wishes.

  10. I too collect china teacups and saucers.. though not so much anymore. My mom had many as did my aunt, and my husband's mom too! When I was a child, my godmothers would give me a cup and saucer for every birthday! Yours all look so familiar to me... I've probably had one or two in the past! I have downsized my collection, but still have my most favorites. By the way, the oatmeal scones look yummy... do you have a recipe! And Happy Thanksgiving to you too! Marilyn

  11. Happy Thanksgiving Caroline! We celebrated Columbus Day with some of our Canadian fellow Airstreamers for a joint holiday camping! I do collect vintage china and would love to see how you display these. My husband built a small high shelf with plate groove around my dining room. But I have many more! I was at the 70 mile yard sale a few years back and can't wait to come again! Happy days!
