Happy Weekend!
Yesterday was an indoor day for me and
it is the time of year that I like to make
little changes in our home.
Remember, my sweet Mama always
said a change is as good as a rest....not
sure if this is what she meant but it works
for me!
A couple of weeks ago I had a man from
Japan here and he said he has been here 3
times and every time he comes it is different...
why is that he asked. What can I say ~
I inherited that gene from my Dutch
Mama!
chair from Ikea that my husband gave me for my
birthday a few months ago is in it's place with
a small table for tea time.
A new to me but very old transferware
teapot found on our trip to Maine.
from the garden......too frosty out
there for tender plants.
Even though it was rainy outside it was cozy
and comfy here.
This could be my new favorite spot
for tea or reading a favorite magazine
or book.
Hope you have a wonderful
weekend!
Carolyn
I like your new chair and think this is a wonderful spot to enjoy the view, drink tea and read. I wish there was an IKEA in Moncton don't you? Enjoy the weekend.
ReplyDeleteLoving your new teapot! That was a great find on your trip! Everything looks very fresh and sweet.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely nook! The way you've furnished it has made it cozy for the coming cold days, and all the plants make it an indoor garden to enjoy during winter. Your mother was right about changes! Best regards, -Beth
ReplyDeleteLove your new seat by the window perfect for a good read and afternoon tea. I am the same as you always changing things. Life would be boring otherwise.

ReplyDeleteLook at all those healthy plants!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cozy place to just be. Love it. It is always so lovely. It's no wonder people love to stay there. Keep changing it up, it's good for the soul:)

Looks very cozy and comfy to me, Carolyn. Susan
ReplyDeleteEasy to see why this would be a favorite spot for reading or enjoying tea. It is beautiful. The tea pot is gorgeous. I like how you have brought a touch of the outdoors indoors. I am wondering whether you do anything to the plants before bringing them in (like spraying for bugs or gradually getting them used to the indoor temps)?
ReplyDeletePerfectly delightful spot. I could sit and enjoy some leisure time just fine here.
ReplyDeleteIt was a rainy day here too, but we were cozy and dry on our sun porch listening to the rain.
What a beautiful spot to sit and enjoy the view while sipping a cup of tea.
ReplyDeleteI love your new chair...
Nothing like a trip around "the bay" as we say here in Newfoundland, Carolyn! Kudos to Andrew on his choice! I'm impressed! lol Happy Halloween to all the grandchildren! Be warm and safe on your trick or treating travels. BTW, I can't imagine that you would have brought home a teapot from Maine! Haha I'll be hunting for one in a few weeks on my long-awaited adventure!!! Whoo hoo!

That window is just the most beautiful spot! I can see it is still very green for you. Must be turning chilly? Looks like you are all set for whatever comes!
ReplyDeleteSo lovely and cozy. Happy weekend to you.
