Happy weekend!
Last weekend my husband and I went on a little holiday
to Maine. However, on the way there we spent a night in
St. Andrews's by the Sea.
When we arrived it was raining so we did
a quick tour of Kingsbrea Garden to see
their autumn colors.
It was still beautiful!
A garden sculpture added
a splash of color.
The monkshood was so pretty.
It is a beautiful garden in all seasons.
Lovely fall foliage
It was raining so it wasn't the best day for
photos but I think you can see that it is
a beautiful garden in all seasons.
I love the windmill.......wonder if Andrew could built
one for our garden!!!!
If you would like to see this garden in late summer
check it out here.
Thank you for touring along through the rain.
Enjoy your weekend!
Carolyn
Sometimes it is "refreshing" to see nature's beauty captured in the rain and you have done an amazing job at doing just that. The darker skies made for a moody backdrop and the colourful leaves seem even more vibrant. Would love to stroll along those paths in rain or shine!
ReplyDeleteThese are magnificent photos!
ReplyDeleteOhhhh, pretty garden. Just like yours, too, Carolyn. Is that in Nova Scotia? So glad you got to visit Maine. That's a very pretty state. (But not in January. ha ha) Susan
ReplyDeleteHi Susan,
ReplyDeleteIt is in New Brunswick not far from the border to Maine.
Thanks for your visits and sweet comments.
Carolyn
Thanks for your visit through the rain!
ReplyDeleteI think your photos in the rain turned out beautifully brilliant. We haven't toured the gardens for a few years but fall looks like a colourful season to see them as well as summer. Thanks for taking us along.
ReplyDeleteit is indeed a very lovely garden.
ReplyDeleteIt's always such a shame when one has rain on a vacation - but it seems as though you and your mate made the best of it.
It's interesting to see how it compared to your trip in 2012!
I hope you do make a windmill, that would be so neat - though I think black was a weird color for it. Hugs. ♥
