I hope 2015 is off to a great start
for you. I enjoyed a lazy weekend
and have not even put away my
Christmas stuff yet.....mainly because
I am still enjoying it. We got
several cm. of snow here so now
it looks like winter!
I always put my Friendly Village dishes
on display for the Christmas/winter season.
Like all my collections they are
a mix and match.
My newest addition is this $5. teapot.
I love this photo of a painting done by my
talented artist friend Heather. It is of an old
stone house not far from here and how perfect to have
a field of sheep beside it.
Heather also made these sheep cookies for me.
They are perfect with a cup of tea.

So, it is back to school for the kiddos as the holiday
season comes to a close. I really enjoyed it all
but it is also nice to look forward to our little
winter routine as we settle into January.
Thank you for visiting and for all
the good wishes for the new year.
Carolyn
I love my friendly village dishes! I didn't know that they still sell them but I saw them at Dillard's by my house. They are not made in England anymore but still the same pattern. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI haven't put away any of my Christmas stuff yet either... The tree will have to come down this week I guess.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on a lovely teapot score. It is simply gorgeous.
Love your dishes and decorations.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my favorite patterns, Carolyn! The few pieces I have are a mixed bunch, too, and you make me want to take them out. I didn't take them out at all this season. Love that print, too. It actually goes really well with the Friendly Village pattern.
ReplyDeleteNew to your blog.... those dishes are absolutely gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHello Carolyn.
ReplyDeleteLove the Friend Village patterned dishes.
I had the Johnson Brothers Old Britain Castle Christmas dishes this year and loved them.
Looking forward to all your wonderful posts in 2015. Susan
p.s. Meant to say Friendly Village. Sorry about that!
ReplyDeleteAlways love to stop by for a peek, Carolyn. I just posted my Friendly Village china cabinet too! Your post is lovely as always. Wishing you good things in 2015. ~Zuni
ReplyDeletePS - I meant to comment on your
ReplyDeletefabulous find on the beautiful teapot, and to tell you we're still enjoying our Christmas tree and all the other decorations, since we celebrate the Epiphany. As far as we're concerned it's still the Christmas season! ~Zuni
Wow, everything looks so beautiful! And tell "Heather" love her painting! Does she sell them? Let me know. Thank you and have a good week! Leticia
ReplyDeleteDear Carolyn, it is always a pleasure to read your blog. I love your fotos. We've got snow for two hours, now it's green as before and temperatures are rising again, but my christmas decorations are still around. Wish you a good 2015 with your wonderful garden. ReplyDeleteHappy Monday, Carolyn!
ReplyDeleteI always look forward to seeing Heather's inspiring art. And, I also enjoy seeing those adorable sheep cookies every year! Tradition for you and me! Lol
Wishing you a beautiful new week,
Linda at Beautiful Ideas
I love my FV dishes too. I always admired that little stone house and Heather painted a charming picture with the sheep! Happy New Year and enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sandi
Hi Maam Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteHope you had a great end of the Year and welcome the New Year with an awesome blast.
Graciousness! Your treasures are absolutely beautiful. Love the sheep theme specially it is a Green Sheep year.
God Bless..
Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteFriendly Village is one of my favorites. I was fortunate to discover it when I found one plate at Goodwill a couple of years ago. Your collection is wonderful, thank you for sharing it with us!

Your Friendly Village dishes are so pretty and I really like the photo of the painting your friend did. It's so sweet with the sheep. Christmas came down at our house today and now I'm re-arranging. Decisions to make. :) Stay warm during this cold spell.
ReplyDeletePretty dishes and sweet deer on your table. The cookies are to pretty to eat and love the painting, very nice.
ReplyDeleteI've not put anything away and this year do not feel in a hurry to do so. I love seeing it in the evenings, I guess because this is a slow period and I have really just gotten to enjoy it more with out the rush of shopping and cooking.
I want your snow , it's cold here but still no snow.
Happy New Year

I love Heather's painting of the stone house and the sheep. It is so perfect to go along with the Friendly Village china collection. Kudos on scoring the FV teapot for only five dollars, that is a fantastic deal. We have lots of snow here in Ohio, we probably got another four or five inches of the white stuff today (along with the bitter cold temperatures).
