September Garden Tea

                                                                                     Hello everyone,
We are enjoying some beautiful sunny warm days here
lately. It is the perfect weather for doing some garden
chores and then enjoying an afternoon tea in the garden.
I love this little iron angel.
                                                                              The white phlox blooming
                                                                              in abundance in our garden
now is called David and it is
                                                                             very mildew resistant so I
                                                                             highly recommend it.
                                                                 A bouquet of roses,phlox,dahlia's
                                                                 coneflowers and hydrangeas from
                                                                 our garden.
                                                                         Biscuits are always good with
                                                                a cup of tea.
The square platter is Mason Vista.
I do love my red and white transferware.
I collect the cabbage rose linens whenever
I see them at the thrift shops.
The teacup is also Mason Vista but
this square plate was from Homesense.
Our grass is still growing fast and the rains we had a few
weeks ago have kept it luch and green.

It is another beautiful day here after an early morning
fog so I am going out to enjoy it.....hope you have
                                                 a lovely day too!

I am joining Between Naps on the Porch
                                                   for Tablescape Thursday.

                                                                        Thank you for visiting,

                                                                                            Carolyn

  3. What a lovely collection of red transferware! Your bouquet is charming. Flowers that are hardy are easier to love.

  6. Everything looks great, Carolyn. I love cabbage rose linens, too.

Have been on the lookout for Westbrook Stevens queen sized sheets in the Country Inn pattern. So far, no luck. Susan

  8. I love red transferware too, as you know. Your pieces look gorgeous on your pretty tablecloth. I never see the cabbage roses pattern anywhere around here. You must get to it before me. :) Lovely tea and biscuits. Enjoy your weekend.

  9. Hi Carolyn! TGIF :-)
You know that hubby says we must have been separated at birth! Haha I have all the same pink transferware (except the jug), always love me some Mason's Pink Vista. I bought the creamer, teapot and sugar when we were to PEI at the antique house in Victoria-By-the-Sea, but it is a reproduction. The square platter I have is well over a century old and was a gift from a lovely woman who was closing her beautiful ladies' shop (thank you Lois). I love it, too - my fave of all my dish collections.
The weather has also been beautiful here with the grass growing and growing! I love September. After the "SOG-gust" we had with so much rain, it is very enjoyable. It will be 23C here again today and sunny, a warmer fall than usual.
Glad you liked my Tea from Sea-to-Sea post, wish you could have been with us, you would have loved it! Did you choose a cup for me at your last tea? Lol Which one?
The famous Annual 20-Mile Yard Sale on your island is around the corner!!! A friend will be there while her hubby is attending Communities in Bloom conference and she plans to rent a car and do the sale. I believe you have tours that weekend? Hope all the grandkiddies are having a good time at school.
EnJOY the weekend, my friend. XO Hello to Andrew. (Sorry this comment is so long, off to work today)
    Wishing you a beautiful day,
