Happy Weekend!
August already!
We have had a lot of hot sunny days
through out July and early August but
lately we have had some good rains to
keep our garden green.

I like to have a few dahlias in the garden
for bouquets since they bloom until
frost.
This is the only oriental lily left in our
garden since the arrival of the lily beetle
about 10 years ago..I love the fragrance!

One of our tour groups from Japan this week.
We have a 3 week break in tours from Japan
before starting up for the Fall season.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend!

Your gardens are so lush and full of life and colour- just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI think it is so neat you get so many tours from Japan....are they coming from cruise ships or how?
Hi Michele,
ReplyDeleteI think it is neat too! They fly here from Japan....no cruise ships.
It is all arranged through local tour companies.
Have a lovely weekend!

Just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely Awesome! A garden like that takes a lot of time and commitment . The reward is breathtaking! You truly take time to smell the roses! Thanks for the tour! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteGardens usually wane in August, but yours certainly is the exception. It's gorgeous, Carolyn. ~ Nancy @ A Joyful Cottage
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful Carolyn!
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful, Carolyn! I can see that you don't seem to be having the non-blooming hydrangea problem that a few bloggers have mentioned. Even mine - out of the three bushes I have only one bloomed this year. But my neighbor next door, it looks like all hers had blooms, so who knows what is going on.
ReplyDeleteYour gardens look amazing and so inspiring :)
ReplyDeleteYour garden looks beautiful Carolyn! There is still so much colour. It must be fun doing the garden tours. All those happy faces :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a good week!

Your garden is so very charming, Carolyn! I love the photos and am jealous of the visitors - maybe some day! Do your Hostas take full sun? I have a hard time with them here - they get burned by the sun...love them so much!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week,
Kathy
