Hello everyone,
I hope your week is going well. It seems we are gearing up for
another Nor'easter tomorrow.....hopefully the last one for this
winter. I am so looking forward to spring!
Now, it is time for a little tea break.
The sunroom is always a cheery spot this time of the year so let's enjoy
our tea in amongst the flowers and it will feel just like spring even if
it is snowing outside.
Pretty bouquets in aqua mason jars.
Last week I spent an afternoon with my sewing machine
at the kitchen table ~ no, I do not have a pretty craft
room like some of you do.
Every year I make some new pillows for our garden furniture
mostly from scraps of leftovers. The aqua with the pink flowers
is a Cath Kidston fabric that I bought at the Cath Kidston store
in Cambridge, England last year. There were so many beautiful
things to see but alas my suitcase was already too heavy!
The aqua quilt underneath the pillows was a gift from my girls.
My lineup of pillows.
Just a quick and casual tea time today as I am trying to get
my book/magazine finished up this week ~ so I had better
get back to work!
I am joining Rose Chintz Cottage for Tea Time Tuesday
and Bernideen's Tea Time Blog for Tea with Friends.
Thank you for visiting,
Carolyn

ReplyDeleteWhat darling pillows, Carolyn! I love the toiles and all the aqua. The quilt from your girls is pretty too. Lovely posies and tea mug. Thank you for sharing and joining me for tea today. Let's hope this newest storm heading our way is the last of the season.

Your new pillows and fabrics are gorgeous! It looks lovely in your sunroom with all the pretty flowers and pillows. A real oasis from winter. I hope you don't get too much snow or rain from this next storm. It sounds really nasty.
ReplyDeleteYou have created a sunny atmosphere inside your home. The tea time mugs are so pretty with the blue plus the roses decorations. I love how you coordinated the new pillows with the blues and pinks. Each blue jar of flowers gives your home a garden feel. Have a grand time in your sweet home and may spring time come soon!

I am loving all your pillows. You did a wonderful job. My favorite is the pink toile one with the little balls trim. I just returned from 2 fabrics stores and need to go down to the basement and get busy as it is cold and snowy. Thank you for linky. I am always excited when I see you linked!

Lovely sunny photos, they fit wonderful at our weather here in Holland, almost 19 degrees, never been this warm at this time of year.
ReplyDeleteLove it, we can work in the garden and drink a cup of tea outside in a sunny corner :)

All so lovely, Carolyn. I really like the color aqua. Susan
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely pillows! Wish I could sew! Do I spot a pretty vintage tablecloth on your tea table? I collect vintage tablecloths from the 50's. I adore their cheerful colors! I'm just trying to figure out the best way to incorporate them into my blog posts. xo Jina

Hi Carolyn! I love your blog! Your displays are beautifully done! ;)
ReplyDeletepiękne poduszki! a ponieważ u mnie brak tak ciekawych poszewek to chętnie skradłabym Ci je wszystkie:)
ReplyDeleteHello Carolyn. Such pretty pillows. That room is pure joy. I love the inviting tones. My sister-in-law and I spent Saturday night sewing table toppers and napkins for my niece's baby shower. One of the fabrics that I used is that same pretty blue with the flowers which you used to make a pillow. It is gorgeous.
