Hello everyone,
We had a touch of spring here today and thankfully there was a
fair bit of melting going on outdoors.
Indoors, I made a couple of new pillows with my Cath Kidston
fabric from England to give the porch a spring look.
The little tea set looks like Cath Kidston china......but isn't.
I had a plain thermal tea towel so I dressed it up with with some of
the leftover fabric and added the pom pom trim.
Both fabric are Cath Kidston that coordinate well.
Pink tulips add spring cheer.
Love the polka dots on the tea cup.
A little more spring cheer on the table in the porch.
The ivy in the window will soon grow to cover the
heart shape wire ( made from an old coat hanger).
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
Carolyn
Beautiful pictures! I too, love the polkadot teacup, so cute :)
ReplyDeleteI love Cath Kidston's beautiful fabrics. They look so pretty in your porch. The last photo is so pretty with the green rabbit and the flowers. I hope you get through this next storm safely. Spring weather isn't far away now.
ReplyDeleteWow;))
ReplyDeleteGreetings from Alsace;)
Super!
ReplyDeleteI love your new pillows--I love Cath Kidston. The fabric is so hard to get here in the US. It is such a happy fabric! Enjoyed your post.
ReplyDeleteLove your pillows! I was just out shopping today for a couple of pillows and I always have the hardest time finding what I want. Hubby said I should just make my own. I'm going to show him yours!
ReplyDeleteOlá Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteAdorei as almofadas, está se tornando uma ótima costureira. Os tecidos são lindos e tenho certeza fará parte de vários cenários na primavera. Estou ansiosa na espera.
Boa viagem, aproveite bastante.

Just beautiful, Carolyn! I thought I'd gotten tired of Cath Kidston but you made me fall in love all over again. J
ReplyDeleteCarolyn, your pillows are simply lovely. I love the pea service that you used. I could sit and read my Pennyfoot Hotel or Tea Shop mysteries for hours. Although, my porch is not nearly as beautiful as your sun room, I think that I'll go out now and enjoy a great book before our next storm arrives later today.
ReplyDeleteThanks, as always for sharing your beautiful home.
Hi Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteYour porch is wonderful, so cheerful and Spring has arrived inside if not out!!! Glad to hear of the melting...
Hugs,
Bella
I love the bunny. Did you make him?
ReplyDeleteEverything is beautiful.

Hi Carla,
ReplyDeleteNo, I didn't make the bunny.
Thank you all for your visit and lovely comments.
Take care,
Carolyn

ReplyDeleteSo pretty!!! I love your new pillows. Cath Kidston is wonderful. I was at two of her shops when I was in London. Only wish she was still in the States.

What a gorgeous and cozy spot Carolyn. I can see myself spending an afternoon reading and enjoying a cup of tea in this beautiful space. My goodness Carolyn, you and I have very similar taste. I have that same pretty blue floral fabric, tea pot and sugar/cream holders. It is scary.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week.
Janet

ReplyDeleteGarden decor has extended to patio decor and in that realm I am very comfortable. I enjoy the look of cast iron or bronze chairs and tables. It feels like the garden is a free place to put all of my metal furniture.

I'm a relatively new reader of your blog and I've noticed that some of the pictures in older posts are no longer available--mostly in summer posts, I think? Is this intentional or just an online quirk?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful vignette! If you don't mind, who it the maker of that tea cup and saucer?
ReplyDeleteanytime I fly into your Blog I find peace and fille my heart of colors and joy
